"My wife and two kids (age 4 and 18 months) drove down from New Jersey to stay in Myrtle Beach. I had been down there once before and knew about the popular "Ocean Annie's" so I wanted to stay as close as possible to the best beach bar in Myrtle. We came across APATB III, and specifically this condo. We rolled the dice realizing that the condo was going through a total makeover in winter of 2014. Once we saw the pictures we were amazed and very excited to get down there. Once we arrived we were not disappointed! The place was even more gorgeous in person. There was plenty of room for our family of four and the kids had their own bedroom. The mater bedroom was great with TV on wall and the bathroom redo came out fantastic. There were two very good things about the location of the condo in complex, 1. we were on the first floor, making a trip to the beach with all of the kids toys, a lot easier and 2. we were able to see the pool from our balcony. This was especially helpful when our youngest was napping, right in the middle of the day. One of us would stay at condo and still was able to see the others in the pool. The beach was perfect for the two children. They both went back and forth from the pool and the beach all day long. The kids made a few friends at the pool and they had a blast together all week. As far as dining around there area, there are PLENTY of places to eat and dine. Some of the notable eateries we ate at were Rockafella's, Bimini's, and the Pizza place for kids with arcade games. We did a night at Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, and a few nights outside on the beach listening to the music from ocean Annie's while kids played on the beach. We did the "Pirate's Voyage" show during the day as our one "big thing" for the kids. They both had a great time there and enjoyed it. I highly recommend attending a performance if possible. If you don't feel like going out, as we did with young kids a few nights, we got take out from River City Grill. In addition to the beautiful condo grounds, you will have free access to the next door Hotel, the Sands Ocean Club, where u can enjoy the lazy river and the pool. There is also an indoor pool and hot tubs available to use. We enjoyed our vacation so much that we have already booked for next year. We felt like we would not be able to find a better place with so much to do while the kids are at this age. Pack light, there is a big grocery store and plenty of places to get beer close by."Guest: Chris Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: October 3, 2014View listing
"We have been coming to A Place at the Beach for many years and stayed in many different condos and this one has far exceeded all others. The attention to the smallest of details made for a big difference in our condo experience. Comfortable beds for everyone, quality furnishings and amenities, plenty of outlets for chargers and linen and towels being provided was extra nice and one less suit case to pack! Also, because tents are no longer allowed on the beach, having the umbrella and chairs included was nothing short of AWESOME! Of course, being first floor AND beach front was THE best! We will be returning for sure!"Guest: millel40 Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 19, 2014View listing
