  • Beautiful, comfortable lakefront getaway

"My husband, 11-year-old daughter, and I had a very relaxing and fun time at this beautiful house full of conveniences. The large screened porch overlooking the lake was our favorite place to hang out and read, eat, play games, and just sit viewing the scenery. The lake was great for a swim, and we used the kayaks early in the morning before the motorboats were out. In mid-June the lake was not very crowded during the week, more so on weekends. We went on three waterfall hikes that were all within about a half hour drive of the lake, and doable for reasonably able and adventurous kids and adults. Owners had left a waterfall hikes guidebook that made exploring fun and easy. Nearby Walhalla has a huge Ingles grocery store for all your needs, and the kitchen at the house is well equipped for cooking. Ping pong table in the basement was a big hit, too. The owners are very thoughtful and checked in while we were there to make sure all was well and to see if we had any questions. One thing to be aware of--there is wifi, but you are limited on usage, so no streaming from Netflix or online gaming. We didn't mind this at all, but good to know if you have kids. We would suggest two tweaks to the directions given by the owners--when turning off of Rte 11, look for the Piedmont Forestry Center sign and turn there onto Cheohee Valley Rd. (we never saw the Kitchen Table restaurant they mention.) Then turn left immediately BEFORE the second church onto Cherokee Lake Rd. The rest was easy to follow. Thanks for a great stay! We would love to come back again!"

  • Wonderful Getaway

"We were thrilled with everything about this condo. So close to everything we needed... grocery stores, restaurants, Clemson campus...yet far enough out to feel secluded. The view from the porch was breathtaking! Furnishings were very nice. Kitchen was VERY WELL APPOINTED. We met family from Greenville, SC, and Dallas, TX. Wonderful place for a family reunion. Easy correspondence with owner. Thanks so much. We will definitely try for another weekend next year."

  • Great Place for a Family Birthday Celebration

"I celebrated my birthday here with my children and my grandkids. Everyone had a great time, and the kids made good use of the kayak and jon boat. There was plenty of room for all of us and while the weather was a bit unseasonably cool, it was warm enough during the day to enjoy the outdoors and in the evenings we build a fire while the kids had fun playing pool. All in all, a memorable birthday weekend!"
