  • Excellent get away for a large family

"We were introduced to VRBO.com with friend at work, and with my large family we found this property that is big enough to swallow my entire 16++ family members.. We gave it shot and it turned out fabulous.. As soon we got to the front door everybody was like wow!!!! The house was very clean, and very well stocked, the bedrooms were neat and there was enough supply of linen and towels.. The jacuzzi on the main floor was the bom.. Kids had blast in the jacuzzi.. On the basement we never got tired of games.. Wish we had like week because the 4days we were there, we never felt like leaving.. The kitchen is very big and open making it easy to prepare meals, there were enough pans and pots and enough utensils for big family. Costwise this property was budget friendly Plus we had last minute discount "can't get it any better than we did". The owner is very efficient with his paperwork and as long as you take care of his property he gets your depost back in less than 2weeks.. And he is just a phone call away incase you need anything while at the property.. The driveway was big enough to carry all our six cars, though your packing brakes must be good because the driveway is a little bit sloppy😊 My parents used to wake up early and sit on the screened deck and enjoy looking at the lake.. We loves this property and it beck in the woods in gated community, very nice and quiet.. We are planning to go back again when time allows.."

  • Great Cabin!!!!

"We rented the cabin for a week for my family to enjoy the lake. This cabin exceeded our expectations. Having the private boat slip to park my boat was awesome. The cabin was very clean and in excellent condition. The owner was great to work with as well. The neighborhood is very nice and I felt safe leaving all my boating stuff and fishing stuff down at the dock for the week."

"We spent a wonderful month in this very comfortable and convenient condo. The community is great and their is lots to do in the area. There are many county and state parks within an easy drive with lots of trails and waterfalls to explore. Clemsen, Greenville, and Seneca are close by. I would definitely recommend this property."

Lake Keowee Attractions

Water activities such as boating, water skiing and fishing are the No. 1 thing to do in Lake Keowee. The lake is crystal-clear and one of the purest lakes in North America, so it's ideal for water sports and swimming. When you go fishing at Lake Keowee, you may catch bass, bream, crappie or catfish. Be sure to bring along the boat so you can enjoy a day out on the water year-round or go for a canoe or kayak ride. The lake has private access for those who wish to kayak or canoe that's prohibited to motor boats for a relaxing day on the water.

Geocaching is permitted at the park and there are several sites located in Keowee-Toxaway State Park surrounding Lake Keowee. For those who don't know, geocaching is when you use GPS coordinates to located a specially marked box. There are more than 75 species of songbirds that have been reported in the park, so birdwatching is a must for visitors.

Keowee-Toxaway State Park features several hiking, walking and biking trails. The Raven Rock Hiking Trail can be found behind the park office and boasts four miles of pathway for you to explore. If you want to look at the scenery but aren't interested in a long walk, check out the Natural Bridge Nature Trail where there is a 1.5-mile loop. The park's paved roads are perfect for going on an afternoon biking adventure.
