  • What a lovely gem. Perfect for the whole family.

"We had such a lovely stay. We had decided to book a last minute weekend getaway. The home and the lake were 20 times better than expected. We brought along our 23 foot proline which fit beautifully under the covered dock. The ramp for unloading our boat was only a mile and a half down the road. The house itself fit the 10 of us comfortably. You could tell that whoever cleaned it did an amazing job since the house was impeccable. But the real winner was the perfect lake location and breathtaking view. We will definitely plan another getaway to this home asap. Thank you for having us."

"What an incredible place - the views from the family room are amazing. We all enjoyed admiring all of your trinkets from your extensive travel experience. Everyone in our group ( ages ranged from 55 - 17) had things they enjoyed doing - never heard the word "bored" all week which makes for special memories - as we are too aware the kids grow up way to fast, so every moment is special and we treasure them. Thank you for the welcome basket and for sharing this glorious place - it's really hard to beat beautiful sunrises and sunsets - pristine waters - and magnificent mountains - the combination of all of God's creation plus the blessings of family time - really is priceless. I truly love to cook so I was especially thrilled to find the kitchen so well stocked. Loved the Pamona dishes - may have to ask Santa for a starter package. Also I enjoyed looking through the many cookbooks - what a treat."

  • Fantastic lakefront cabin

"We love to try new places but would gladly stay here again. It was that nice. Came to celebrate our son's graduation from Clemson. Six adults and two kids and there was plenty of room. With 1 x King bed, 2 x Queen beds, a pull out couch on loft, and 2 x twin beds (with another twin day bed in the same room), you could easily sleep 11 people in beds (and that is not counting the several comfortable leather couches). Master bedroom on main level was spacious with king bed, very large bathroom and plenty of closet space. Two downstairs bedrooms with queen beds and shared bathroom were comfortable although a bit chilly. It is a challenge to maintain a "perfect" temperature since a single thermostat controls all three levels. If main level is "just right" then downstairs will be chilly and upstairs may be warmer. Not a big deal at al but worth noting. The AC works just fine. The downstairs also has a very nice pool table with couches, TV and area for card playing. The upstairs loft and bedroom with twin beds is very comfortable as well. Open concept kitchen, dining area and family room are very conducive to conversation and fun. All of it overlooks the water for great serenity. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. Keys are easily accessible. WiFi works easily and consistently. TVs are easy to use with no confusing instructions or multiple remotes. Lastly, the lake is great. Early May and the water was surprising warm. We did not have a boat but used the two kayaks non-stop. Plenty of room for everyone to sit on the docks, socialize and swim. Dock ladder for easy exit from the water. Deep water all around the dock. Jumped off of the end of the dock and tried to hit the bottom but could not. The walk to the water is a slight decline but not bad. My 75-year old mother managed it easily all four days. The owner (Kevin) is very easy to work with and obviously takes great care of this place. I would recommend this cabin to any of my friends."

Geocaching is permitted at the park and there are several sites located in Keowee-Toxaway State Park surrounding Lake Keowee. For those who don't know, geocaching is when you use GPS coordinates to located a specially marked box. There are more than 75 species of songbirds that have been reported in the park, so birdwatching is a must for visitors.
