  • Great Trip!

"We stayed at this river cabin for five nights and had an AWESOME time!! The property is located about 10 minutes from Table Rock State Park, where we spent most of our time hiking trails. We also spent a lot of time hanging out at the cabin, which offers beautiful views of the backyard creek from both the kitchen's huge window and the deck. Can't wait to come back!!"

  • Perfect basecamp for hiking adventures

"My wife, our small dog, and myself stayed here prior to hiking up Table Rock Mountain and it was perfect. The home is isolated enough for privacy without being in the middle of nowhere. In fact it's only a 6-minute drive from Table Rock State Park! If you have kids you may want to bring something for them to do as the TV gets few stations but does include a DVD player. Personally, in such a beautiful location, I didn't watch TV at all - outside was ten times prettier. We visited in July expecting swarms of insects but were very pleasantly surprised to find next to none, save for bees and wasps who only bother adventurers foolish enough to disturb their nests. Though I didn't have a chance to check it out during our brief stay, there is a golf course at the entrance to the neighborhood, and we regularly saw other visitors doing for walks around it. The whole area is beautiful and serene. Overall, this rental is great for fellow hikers like my wife and I, but might be a little too woodsy for people accustomed to city-life."

  • Wonderful Time!

"Beautiful 2 story River Cabin on the Saluda River. Quite and peaceful in the Cherokee Foothills in SC off of Hwy 11 right down the street from Table Rock State Park. Cabin has Hot Tub outdoors, fire pit, deck, picnic table, nice big back porch, river in back yard to play in. Rope to swing out in the river or fish in. We took 6 adults and 5 children. Kids had a blast! put out kayaks in the state park lake. Walked the tails and played in the waterfalls. The state park has boat rentals and a swimming area with life guards. While on vacation we visited the nearby attractions all around 45 mins away and closer. Pisgah National Forrest, where we went down sliding rock, saw Looking Glass Falls, and had a picnic beside the river. The children played in the river. We visited Pretty Place outdoor chapel in the mountains, must see. Went through Brevard, NC to see the White squirrels. and of course we went to Caesars Head. We did this all in one day! Worn out afterwards but well worth it. All locations worth looking up and visiting! I would most diff go back and recommend!"

Table Rock Travel Tips

Experience Nature Firsthand with Table Rock Vacation Rentals

There are plenty of getaways in South Carolina, from the seacoast to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where one can find Table Rock State Park in the town of Pickens. The park offers fishing, hiking, and birding in a relaxed, cool mountain location. Table Rock vacation rentals are easy to find, from antebellum country homes with wide, wraparound porches, to brand-new condos on the shores of Table Rock's two lakes.

Table Rock, Historic and Inviting

Table Rock State Park is one of South Carolina's most popular parks. But with over 3,000 acres of conservation land, it's hard for it to get crowded. Around 20 homesteads were located there through the Civil War. At the turn of the century, thousands of acres around Table Rock Mountain were donated to the state. The park was built in the early 1930s. Today, the towns around Table Rock hold the small, Southern charm of yesteryear, but have access to modern conveniences. The area has many by-owner vacation homes. These homes have all the convenience of a hotel or timeshare, but also posess the cozy charm of cared-for and lived-in home. Despite Table Rock's remoteness, almost all vacation homes have access to the Internet, and cable television.

A Lifetime's Worth of Outdoor Experiences

There is plenty to do in the Table Rock area, from simply breathing the fresh air of the Blue Ridge Mountains to boating and fishing on Lake Oolenoy's 67 acres of open water. There are foot and bike trails to the summits of Mts. Table Rock and Pinnacle. Lodging and Table Rock vacation rentals are easy to find, including plenty of Upcountry South Carolina condos and Table Rock Lake homes. Many are built in the traditional, austere log cabin style. But inside, they are full of all the comfort and convenience of a modern home.
