  • Cozy Cottage

"My stay at the Carriage House at Magnolia Inn was everything I was looking for--relaxing, comfortable, and convenient. Mary Ellen couldn't have been more accommodating or kind. The space was cozy and had everything I needed for an enjoyable stay. She even had a few snacks and a half gallon of milk waiting for me upon my arrival. My name written on a Welcome chalkboard was such a personal touch. TR is a great place to stay and the Carriage House is a good jumping off point for a hiking adventure in the mountains, a leisurely ride on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, or scrumptious meals in downtown Greenville for all levels of foodies. And if you want to stay in all day and do nothing? The Carriage House can accommodate that too. The back deck and hammock are great for reading and the pool is perfect for a quick dip to cool off from the SC heat. I stayed here by myself this summer on a solo vacation and enjoyed my time immensely. The Carriage House is perfect for some personal time away or a nice trip with a close friend. Thank you for everything, Mary Ellen."

  • Oasis from Winter

"My wife and I just returned this week from a 4 night stay in this amazing home! The views from the home are unmatched and the home is beautifully appointed. Everything you need for a wonderful stay is provided for you from the linens and bathroom amenities to the wood needed to build a glowing fire in the outdoor fireplace. After the northern winter we have endured and continue to endure, we were ready for a break. This home provided the perfect escape! We look forward to staying in the home again and would recommend it without reservation!"

  • Beautiful Wooded Setting

"Our four-night stay in this beautiful home couldn't have been more perfect! Our daughter's wedding reception was at the nearby Hotel Domestique, and this home was less than two minutes away by car. The home sits in a beautiful wooded setting with enormous windows and view of the woods. It's rare to see something on the internet and find it's exactly like the pictures....even better! We had the bridesmaid's hair and makeup done at the house. Although the makeup technician brought her own lamp & chair, the natural light in the living room windows made it a perfect setting. We were able to have brunch items displayed on the beautiful kitchen island and a relaxing few hours before the ceremony. The home is an easy 30-minute drive from downtown Greenville and a short 10-15 minute drive to Travelers Rest where you can access many grocery stores, Wal-Mart, restaurants, etc. Although we didn't do any significant cooking, the kitchen is fully equipped to handle any large group. There are multiple coffee pots, slow cookers, and appliances of every kind.....it has it all! The only thing we actually had to buy was bath soap! It is not provided so you need to be prepared to bring it with you or put it on your shopping list. For that special dinner out, you can dine at Restaurant 17 at Domestique. Chef Adam is phenomenal. There is a three-car garage, but we didn't know the code to open the doors. We must have missed that in the welcome book. Regardless, there was ample parking space for our three cars.....even the extra cars for the temporary hair/makeup session. Although our children ended up bringing their own pack-n-play for their two-year old, there is one available. The Dotsons are very accommodating and made sure everything was "guest ready!" Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!"
