Fantastic week on the lake!
"My family (wife and I and two college age kids) spent the week in this wonderful lake house. The house is big, it's roomy, it's very well equipped. Our favorite spot was of course the dock which was great for swimming and had an open slip for the boat we rented from a marina for the week. We enjoyed water activities and relaxing on the back porch. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. I'd highly recommend this as a quiet getaway."

"Loved Keowee Key and our accommodations exceeded our expectations. The view of the Lake was wonderful and the owner couldn't have been more accommodating. We really don't require that much except for cleanliness and quiet and we got both. We would definitely return. Thank you PK for everything!"

"What a fantastic experience!
My husband and I brought our two kids and three of their friends to this wonderful mountain lake home for a week of fun in and on the water.
The kids (2 teenage girls and 3 7-year-old boys) were delighted by the outdoor activities including swimming, hiking, kayaking and jumping off waterfalls into the crystal clear lake. We brought our own ski boat which made for excitement every day on this 7,800 acre spring fed paradise.
The home is equipped with nearly everything we required for a great family adventure. We brought our own x-box to entertain the younger kids on rainy afternoons and that proved to be a smart idea. We couldn't find a blender so we used their food processor to make smoothies and everyone was happy!
The kids loved the electric trams leading from the parking deck down to the house and from the house to the lake. We did require them to ride with an adult every single time, however, because the operation requires you to turn on the tram then hop on board as it is moving. It does provide a slow, peaceful ride to and from the dock, allowing you to absorb the serene beauty of Lake Jocassee.
The house is on a steep mountain gravel road and we probably should have done a little more research before trying to haul our boat down the road leading to the house! We recommend dropping the boat off at the Jocassee Outdoor Center BEFORE heading up the mountain to the house. The center offers a concierge boat service that makes your travels much more convenient.
We recommend this vacation spot for families, and with sleeping space for 13 or 14 people, it is large enough for a couple of families to vacation together. There are kayaks and paddles provided (& the owners were not even upset with us for accidentally bringing two of their life jackets home with us!) but our kids needed the excitement of a speed boat to fully enjoy the lake. If you don't have one, we would recommend renting one for the week through the concierge service.
All in all, this rental home provides all you need for whatever kind of vacation your family desires!"

"My husband and I stayed for one month and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the quiet, relaxing and comfortable accommodations. It was serene yet close enough to roadways that could take us to the "big city" or to beautiful hiking trails or waterfalls. Pickens is a friendly little town. We would definitely stay here if we visit the area again."
