"I am so glad that we found Patty and the Canyon Gateway Motel on VRBO! We have stayed in hotels in the area and never again, not as long as Patty is around. We stayed in room 1 which was western themed and so adorably decorated. The bed was comfy, sheets and pillows soft, lots of water pressure in the shower, great towels, little fridge and microwave, flat screen and cable, and it was quiet. We showed up in the middle of the night and our room was waiting for us with the light on. Cozy and in a great location, minutes from Spearfish, and at the north entrance of Spearfish Canyon. Patty made the stay great and was very helpful with ideas on where to head off to. We climbed Crow Peak, kayaked in Lake Pactola, and wondered around Deadwood, Sturgis, Hill City and Spearfish. I HIGHLY recommend the Bay Leaf Café to eat!! Fresh food, clean place and great staff! The rates are just unbelievable for the places location and we cannot wait to get back there with family and friends. Thanks for such a great place to stay Patty!"

"We rented the cabin for a week using it for rest and relaxation between day trips within the Black Hills. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and quiet during our sleep time. The gate on the driveway provides a sense of security.
It was nice to meet Kathleen who made sure we had everything we needed. We had four deer and a turkey hen with nine chicks that spent time around the cabin. We hope to return next summer."

"We totally enjoyed our stay in this clean, comfortable, completely furnished cabin! With the reservoir just a two minute drive down the road, we spent our days on the water and our evenings back at the cabin watching a wonderful selection of vcr movies! There was a small beach area to anchor boat so we didn't have to haul it off the water every evening. On!y a small part of the deck was usable, which we were not made aware of prior to our stay, so that was a little disappointing, but we are from the area and get to see the starry night sky every night. When the deck is finished, it will be amazing!!!!! The gated development is very private and quiet. None of us wanted to leave, and we will definitely stay again!!! Thank you, Rustin and Linda!"

"We were planning a family outing to the Black Hills and needed accommodations for a large group (13). We found Camp Custer Log Cabin Sky View lodge and decided to try it out. The place is outstanding. Location near Custer South Dakota is great. The lodge was easily able to handle all 13 of us and had absolutely everything we needed. I highly recommend the Sky View lodge for any larger group looking for accommodations in the Black Hills.
It was a great location for trips to Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Monument. We also did a day trip to Hot Springs to visit the Mammoth Site and enjoy the hot springs at Evans Plunge. Found time to fit in a short horse back ride, too!"
