"The Last Chance Lodge is a beautiful log home perched on a mountain side. The owners Randy and Liz are great people to work with. Their place is so peaceful and relaxing. I could spend a week there and not leave. There's nothing quite like an evening dip in the hot tub after hiking all day in Spearfish Canyon or around Devils Tower. We saw numerous white-tailed dear in their yard on multiple days, pretty special! Deadwood is a cool city with lots of history. Lewies Saloon is a must for a beer and a burger. Cheyanne Crossing for breakfast, the best. There are so many things to in this area and the Last Chance Lodge is a great place to use as your home base. I would highly recommend you consider reserving your next visit to the Deadwood area here. You won't be disappointed."

"Our family (my husband, me and 2 teenage boys) stayed at this rental property for the first time over the 2014 Christmas holiday and it was wonderful. We flew in from Washington DC to visit family in rapid city and the house was very clean and well prepared with a nicely stocked kitchen, dish soap, paper towels, soap, etc. We only needed to purchase a little food/snacks and that was nice since we were flying. We walked everyday around the Canyon lake which was beautiful and convenient. Lastly, my son and I have allergies and our recent visits staying in other places at Rapid City have been a disaster with serious allergic reactions to the dust/dirt. We felt wonderful, healthy and experienced no allergy coughing while staying here and that was such as blessing. Also the owner if very attentive and will work with you to make your stay nice. We will stay here again."

"Imagine a fun-packed day experiencing all the Black Hills has to offer and then coming "home" to a peaceful, quiet, serene setting built in the middle of whispering ponderosas. That's what you'll experience in Bruce's home in the foothills of Rapid City. The home has everything (and then some) to make your stay just what you wanted. The property adjoins government land so you can use that in addition to the spacious yard. We enjoyed nightly fire pit gatherings, watching the deer and wild turkeys come and go. We had 3 children in our group of nine and they had ample room to explore and use their imaginations inventing games in the yard. I personally enjoyed the hammock when the down-slope winds would kick in early in the evening. The younger crowd enjoyed relaxing in the large and immaculately clean hot tub. Bruce's house has everything you would need and is as neat as a pin: ample towels; lots of cooking utensils; an
indoor/outdoor music system; washer and dryer/ and enough maps and local information to make sure you see what you want to see. Bruce is currently enlarging his home, but the construction doesn't affect your stay whatsoever. It will be amazing when he finishes it I'm sure. Speaking of Bruce, he is the nicest and kindest person to deal with. He's as honest as the day is long, and will ensure everything is done right. We checked in with his manager, Lindsey, who was also incredible. She met us to check us in and showed us all the ropes. She also returned to check us out. The home was perfect for three couples and three children. Privacy was never an issue and everyone had his/her own space. You owe it to yourselves to stay here because I frankly will remember the family times we spent in the cabin more so than some of the things we did in the area."

"Thunderridge Lodge is a great place to stay. Very clean. Plenty of room for our family of eight. The four bedrooms, four baths, and five TVs was great--everyone had their own space. We really enjoyed cooking together in the huge kitchen, and grilling on the gas grill. The location is very private with beautiful views. A mule deer and her two fawns would greet us every morning. The location makes for convenient sightseeing in the Black Hills. The owner was very helpful, answering our many questions. The only drawback was that the hot tub wasn't working, but this did not detract from our stay. All in all, Thunderridge Lodge is a great rental property."
