  • Amazing, Rustic and couldn't ask for more!

"What an amazing place. The pictures don't do this place justice. There wasn't one view from any location on this property that didn't deserve to be in a travel magazine, absolutely beautiful. We ran a little late coming in out of Yellowstone so the owners even tried to call us on their land line in the cabin a couple times to make sure we had found the place and everything was up to our standards(well beyond what I was expecting). Fantastic location, we golfed 9 holes every morning at Rocky Knolls golf literally just up the street. Deer in the back yard every morning and an absolute perfect deck to let the day end with an adult beverage in hand.. A MUST STAY AT LOCATION!"

  • Great Little Cabin!

"My husband & I spent two nights in cabin 2 in early June. The cabin was super cute and clean. The kitchenette was fully stocked with more than you could ask for. Appliances included a mini fridge, toaster, coffee maker (and coffee), electric cook top, microwave & a full size propane grill on the deck. The location of this rental home was perfect, close to all of the area attractions! Thank you for providing us with a home away from home while we explored South Dakota's beauty. We would definitely recommend this cabin!"

  • 5 Plus Stars

"What a wonderful place! We spent a week here with another couple to celebrate my 70th birthday. The week before I had surgery, and this place was great for relaxing. The weather was nice, so we were able to grill out several nights and even have breakfast on the deck a couple of mornings. It is ideally located for visiting the major attractions in the area. I loved the remote control starting fireplace that could be seen from both the living room AND master bedroom. When the evenings got cool, I would take my Kindle into the comfortable chair in the bedroom, start the fire and read until I got sleepy. The other couple with us enjoyed the "suite" that was made up with 2 bedrooms, a bath and a sitting area in the downstairs area. It was a private area for them to adjourn to in the evening. We worried that the place was be minimally stocked, but that was not the case! Everything we needed was there and then some. It was nice to also have the washer and dryer available. We took advantage of the hot tub to soak our tired bones after sitting in the car sightseeing. The rental staff was accommodating and friendly. There is NOTHING I would change about the place! It was magnificent!"

Custer Travel Tips

Nestle into the Black Hills with Custer Vacation Rentals

If you want a stunning, private, wilderness vacation then look at Custer cabins; find the perfect vacation home for you and your family, and come to the Black Hills of South Dakota. Your cabin will provide you with all the amenities you need. Instead of staying in a stuffy hotel room somewhere in town, why not try a cabin, tucked away in the rolling hills and towering pines? With a full kitchen, bedrooms, and living space for the whole family, you may not even need to go into town!

Stroll Downtown Historic Custer

There are many fun and interesting activities in Custer, however, so take a few days and explore the historic town. Visit the Courthouse Museum and learn about Custer and the surrounding areas. Dine at one of the restaurants downtown or do some shopping. You can rent horses at one of the nearby stables, or you can bring your own horses. Several of the Custer vacation rentals have corrals, tack sheds, and stables available for your horses.

See the Black Hills up Close and Personal

There are many attractions close to your Black Hills lodging. Go to Bear Country U.S.A, and you will find fun for the whole family. You can drive through the wildlife park and see the native animals wandering free in their natural habitat. You can also visit Baby Land where you can see bear cubs, wolf pups, and more cute and furry young animals. Go hiking or biking in the beautiful hills, or get up early one morning and experience the Black Hills from a totally different viewpoint. Go for a hot air balloon ride and catch a glimpse of buffalo, elk, Mt. Rushmore, and scenic rivers and lakes. You can even experience an old fashioned cowboy chuck wagon dinner with great food and entertainment.
