"We just returned home from a great vacation in the Black Hills! My husband, kids and grandkids stayed at Dick and Bonnie's ranch and had a wonderful time! Their home is large, very comfortable and has all the amenities you need. There was nine of us (5 adults, 4 kids) and we had plenty of room to spread out and explore the grounds. The kids loved playing outside, and taking long walks along the lane. There were lots of "baby cows" which the kids loved seeing! Two friendly dogs, Tommy and Princess, accompanied the kids on a lot of their walks and adventures. This is just a great place to relax after busy days of sightseeing and activities! We enjoyed Bonnie's delicious rhubarb/berry jam, and they also provided 2 park passes to use, which was nice. If your family is looking for a comfortable, secluded vacation rental away from all the crowds (the nearest grocery store is about a half an hour away) this is the place to be! Thanks Dick and Bonnie!"

"My mother and I visited Custer and stayed in the cabin for four nights. It was perfect, though we could have brought several more family members and still been really comfortable. The layout is great in terms of an open living space and kitchen, a main level master with a bathroom, an upstairs loft with a great deck, and a large space downstairs for sleeping as well as "hanging out". It would be perfect for a family with teenagers who want to get away from the parents every night-they could have the entire basement area.
Mark and Donita are fantastic hosts-everything we needed was there and they called to make sure we were comfortable. I've stayed in a few vrbo/Homeaway properties and this is the most excellent customer service experience I've had.
The location is terrific-close enough to Custer to be in town in a few minutes yet removed enough to feel like you're part of the wild. We hiked the land and explored the rocks with a glass of wine. It was peaceful. We loved seeing the deer and the turkey roaming around.
Mark and Donita, thanks so much for a terrific experience. I wish you all the best!"

"Loved Aspen Hill! Vacation with our sons and their families. House is beautiful and well appointed. Good location to visit all that the Black Hills have to offer and not have to deal with the congestion and costs of hotel stays. Used VRBO and always pleased with their offerings."

"We spent 8 nights in this beautiful home, using it as our base to explore The Black Hills and Badlands. The location is ideal. Just 8 miles from Custer, it's a quick trip into town. But after sightseeing all day it is wonderful to return to a beautiful, quiet location where you can just take in the sound of the wind through the pines, the sight of the wild deer and turkey, or the horses grazing in the pasture next door. There is a family a chipmunks living nearby and their antics are really cute to watch from any one of a variety of decks. The house itself has everything you need. If you want to explore the beautiful Black Hills (and you should!), and like to base your activities filled with quiet beauty, then this is the place for you. You won't regret staying here."
