"We stayed at the Terry Peak lodge for the week of the Sturgis rally. The home is beautiful and well kept. Fourteen of us stayed very comfortably. We drove motorcycles up and down the road coming in/out with no problems at all.... even in the pouring rain one night. We met the owners before our stay and they are very accommodating. The lodge was so clean and they had everything we needed to cook and be comfortable for our stay. Can't wait to go back!"

Amazing location, beautiful house, a few updates needed
"I give this rental home a 4-star, because it is in an unbelievable location. The idea that such a nice house to vacation in is in such a remote area with water, electric and Wi-Fi is pretty cool. The views are great. The location is very private. House was clean and generally well maintained. It is truly a hideaway close to all of the Black Hills attractions.
A few things did not work for us. The Master bedroom mattress needs to be replaced. It is lumpy and lopsided, so we did not sleep well (which is one of our primary requirements when vacationing). Along the same lines, the layout of the house is not ideal for us. We travel with our 3 and 5 year old children. There is a Master bedroom with a door and an open loft above it with a futon on the floor. While fun and my daughter loved it, you’re basically sharing your room with another sleeper. The second bedroom is completely open in a loft above the living room with no doors. Our other daughter was disturbed by us cleaning the kitchen and being in the living room after she went to bed.
The house also does not have central A/C. It is has a few A/C units attached to the walls upstairs. The whole house did not get very cool while we were there in mid-August.
So great house, not so great sleeping arrangements. If you are traveling with older children, the layout would probably work better for you."

"Love this cabin so much that we want to keep it a secret, so we can be sure the dates we want to return are available in the future. You can't beat the view and the pleasure of watching the horses come down from the pasture to the KOA campground in the morning and return in the evening. It is secluded enough to remain peaceful, yet you have the luxury of using the KOA pools and activities. The screened in porch is where we spent most of our time. The cool breeze keeps the porch comfortable all day. If you close up the main part of the cabin in the morning, it stays cool all day. We didn't want to leave and are ready to book again next year."

"Mountains. Long dirt road. No cell service. Big, beautiful, starry sky. This place is the real deal if you want to get away from it all.
I traveled across the country in a group of 3 and I think I had my best night's sleep here at the Yurt. If you love the idea of total seclusion and sleeping in the open air (without the bugs), then this place is for you. It's like camping, but without all the trouble of packing and unpacking gear.
The Yurt has all the amenities you could need (pillows, blankets, kitchen, electricity, grill, a real bathroom), but don't count on a hot shower. This is still camping, but at it's near finest.
I want to go back!"
