  • "My family and I stayed at this cabin for a 3-day weekend (6 adults plus kids). Awesome location for hiking and skiing. Snowmobile trails close by too. The scenery was breathtaking. Took a shuttle in to Deadwood for the evenings after skiing all day. Very spacious and clean accommodations. Wonderful view from the hot tub. We will definitely make this an annual trip. Next time we'll stay longer. I'd rate this a definite 5 star cabin!"

  • Obviously nicer than a Hotel

"We were lucky enough to find this gem of a rental on the internet. The accomodations were much nicer than a hotel would have been. The Nugget is centrally located for all of the scenic sights such as Devils Tower, Spearfish Canyon, Mount Rushmore, etc. My family had a wonderful time and the apartment was much more relaxing after sightseeing all day than coming back to a cramped hotel room. My mother-in-law came with us and we were able to use the kitchen table for card games at nights. I would recommend the Nugget for anyone who would like the comforts of a home away from home."

  • wonderful stay

"We had 8 adults and 5 kids stay at Aspen Ridge Red. The cabin was just as described and pictured in the ad. The owner was very helpful esp. with directions to get to the cabin. We would recommend this property. We had a most wonderful time. The cabin was very accommodating for our group. The kitchen was a pleasure to be in, we did most of our meals at the cabin. Loved the open concept of the main floor and lovely deck. Everyone enjoyed thier rooms, the beds were very comfortable. Plus there was plenty of sightseeing. We took walks there at the cabin, went to Mt. Rushmore and Sylan Lake. Thank you for providing such a lovely cabin."

  • Even better than advertised!

"This is the best little secluded hideaway in the Black Hills - without exception. The cabin has everything a family/small group needs, and it is CLEAN and WELL-MAINTAINED. Every year the owners add something new to the cabin to make our experience there even better than before. They appreciate us as guests, and we appreciate them! Sunrise over the quiet meadow is just like the photo - and then the wildlife starts to show up. This summer we watched a doe stand up and wait for her newborn, twin fawns to stumble to their feet and follow her into the trees. And all this happens within easy access and convenience to the many attractions of the Hills! Whether close-by, or on a day-trip adventure, there are all kinds of fun things to do and places to go - for children and/or adults. Keep your camera handy. And don't miss The Great Faces (aka Mount Rushmore)! If you want a break from using the cabin's awesome kitchen, there's a great burger and a pint; buttermilk pancakes or an Indian taco; or a trout dinner to be found at Lewie's, Cheyenne Crossing Cafe, or the Latchstring Inn respectively - all of which boast national acclaim. Our whole family, including the kids, has personal favorites at all three. We have stayed at this cabin several times. I guess it is obvious why 'the cabin' is our favorite place for making memories with our family. Thank you."
