"My husband and I needed some well deserved time away from our hectic business. We chose this cabin and we are so glad we did. It is private, quiet, gorgeous, and feels like home immediatly. We loved the view and never tired of it in nine days, it changes every few minutes. We will never forget the beauty of that view.
I love to cook and the kitchen is perfect for preparing any meal, and there is a really gormet grill as well.
We got up early each day to take in the view of the daily visits from the wild turkeys, and deer. The chipmunks and squirrels were also very cute neighbors.
We four wheeled on hundreds of miles of trails and enjoyed the entire Black Hills and easily came home each day in time to cook and relax. We loved going to Spearfish Canyon for a drive and to Deadwood, so much to see and do.
Delf is a truly a very nice and thoughtful person, I felt like he really wanted us to love his home and the Hills as much as he did. We did, thank you Delf. We highly recommend this property."

"We had a nice two day stay in this cabin on the first leg of our trip to the west coast. It is a pleasant cabin and a good base camp for visiting especially if you are visiting in the lead/deadwood and spearfish areas which are quite close by. Its a bit of a drive down to some of the more southern areas like keystone, custer, mt rushmore and the others down there but certainly doable if you don't mind driving some. We saw custer park, needles highway, sylvan lake and pactola dam areas all one day and then spent the next in deadwood and spearfish canyon which is quite close by and is arguably the most natural and beautiful area in the black hills I feel. There is a beautiful falls recreation area near in spearfish canyon that I would not miss and also bridal veil falls. Also a fun free fish hatchery in spearfish that is fun, and the indian center which I can not currently remember the name of is really excellent and informative about indian culture, art etc in the black hills. The cabin could use some more comfortable furniture for the living room...the couches and chair were not older and could stand to be replaced, but I felt they were not too bad, and they looked nice and clean. The cabin is older but they have done a lot of nice remodeling projects so I felt it was very comfortable and would definitely stay there again. It would be nice to get some trees growing around the cabin to provide a little more seclusion and shade. Also,it is up a steep drive but is fine to drive in the summer, and easy to find with directions, and once you are up there, there are may properties up there and great views if you look around a little. Im sure it is a great winter area also but would definitely need 4 wheel drive for that type of weather."
