"The house is just as advertised -- charming, immaculate and well cared for. We were treated to a parade of wild turkeys, and prancing deer in the evening, and sometimes the morning. The house is spacious and very comfortable. Beware that there is no place to eat within a 30 minute drive -- though there is a small store in Nemo; and there is nothing in the house other than salt & pepper. As suggested pick up food in Rapid City or Sturgis. We love our privacy and enjoyed the relaxation and calm of the beautiful surroundings. Would certainly return if we get back to this part of the country again."

such a beautiful place to get away from the big city life
"Taking a group of 6 teenage boys and 2 adult men on an adventure away from the city and without their parents, a right of passage experience as well as a cultural exchange experience here in the Black Hills at Shady Grove. This place is Zen. Peaceful, relaxing, spacious and accommodating with an abundance of sites, activities and attractions. Our hosts were awesome and incredibly helpful with pointing out to us where to go and how to get there. Beautiful wildlife interaction and scenery. Our boys want to come back, we all want to come back. Next summer we WILL come back and hopefully our boys will plant a seed in the heads of their friends and we come back with some new faces. Horseback riding, swimming in the mountain lakes, the historic towns, the scenic views of nature, Crazy Horse Mountain, Deadwood, Archery, just to name a few of the things we did. Thank you very much for such a memorable stay, a memory that will last a life time."

"Where do I start?? First, I was somewhat apprehensive about booking a vrbo home - you never know what you will get- but we couldn't be happier!! The pics don't do it justice - this place is beautiful and felt just like home : very clean and well stocked with necessary amenities! I'm not sure what you could need that isn't already here to make you comfortable. We brought our atv's and food, and just had the greatest family vacation! You can ride your atv on the dirt road the house is located on, directly up to some great trailheads, and then the adventure is yours! We rode for hours and hours! It was nice to come back home after the day and relax on the big porch and watch the kids run around - and there is definitely room for them to run! We had campfires and family dinners - evening rides and cuddled watching movies. We sit here packing up to leave and are somewhat sad - but also pulling out our calendars and are ready to rebook again next year! The owner Larry is a great guy, and we stopped by his store to chat a few times. I wouldn't hesitate booking this place, it's worth every penny and a little fresh air and family would do the soul some good :) bring your atv and dirt bikes and you will be in for some great rides - ranging from easy jeep roads to more technical rock climbs. Something for everyone! Thanks again Larry, we will be seeing you next year :)"

"We stayed at Antler Ridge in the Pines for a week. This is a beautiful home with every thing needed to enjoy a family vacation. The home is stocked with quality cookware, nice stoneware plates and plenty of silverware. The kitchen appliances were top of the line and spotless. We had plenty of room for six adults and a nine month old baby. The home is situated on a wooded hillside, with abundant wildlife to enjoy. The hot tub was clean, spacious and a joy to relax in. This is the perfect location for exploring all of the attractions in the Black Hills.
We hope to return soon !"
