"I am so glad that we found Patty and the Canyon Gateway Motel on VRBO! We have stayed in hotels in the area and never again, not as long as Patty is around. We stayed in room 1 which was western themed and so adorably decorated. The bed was comfy, sheets and pillows soft, lots of water pressure in the shower, great towels, little fridge and microwave, flat screen and cable, and it was quiet. We showed up in the middle of the night and our room was waiting for us with the light on. Cozy and in a great location, minutes from Spearfish, and at the north entrance of Spearfish Canyon. Patty made the stay great and was very helpful with ideas on where to head off to. We climbed Crow Peak, kayaked in Lake Pactola, and wondered around Deadwood, Sturgis, Hill City and Spearfish. I HIGHLY recommend the Bay Leaf Café to eat!! Fresh food, clean place and great staff! The rates are just unbelievable for the places location and we cannot wait to get back there with family and friends. Thanks for such a great place to stay Patty!"

"We stayed here with another family for a week. There were 8 of us total and there was plenty of space for all of us. It's a great central location for all the Black Hills tourist areas. The only 2 things we weren't fond of was the lack of window shades (kids were up early with the sun) and the water pressure. You really can only do one thing with water, which made it hard to make breakfast and get ready as a large group. Overall it was much better than a resort or hotel as we had our own space including a full kitchen. Thank you! Would highly recommend this cabin!"

"Thanks for using your bunk house. It had rained before we got there and during our stay. Some of the doors were hard to close because of the rain. However, we trusted no one would walk in on us. Our 2 yr old and 6 yr old were delighted with the cowboy hats and the saddles to pretend they were real cowboys even had jail house keys. We even had to buy a cowboy hat for the 2 yr old. The Adults enjoyed the huge comfortable space. We did not need the air conditioner, but did enjoy the laundry room and clean clothes. It was amazingly close to Crazy Horse and Mt. Rushmore to enjoy night programs. It was also nice to have home cooked breakfasts and you can see Mt. Rushmore from just outside the back door. We also played some miniature golf in Rapid City. The rabbits and other small wildlife may be seen out the windows. It was a nice time to visit with family and friends."
