"Pictures do not do this home justice. The home was super clean and very well decorated. We rented it for a family reunion and it was way more than we anticipated. Plenty of room to spread out and have quiet time if you need it and great corners for the kids and teens to "hide out" in. The kitchen was well equipped and we prepared almost all of our meals in the home. The backyard had plenty of seating, it was quiet and shaded most of the day, we enjoyed the outdoor fireplace each night we were there. All the beds were comfortable and everyone slept well. I was relieved to see NO bunk beds.. so many rentals put in bunkbeds and I have worried which family member was going to be the unlucky one to sleep on the top bunk in previous homes my family has rented. Also the convenience of the location of this home... from your Walmart down the road to an easy drive to Deadwood, quick access to the interstate to tour the Black Hills. My family will definitely be back!"

"Wonderful stay, cabin is in a perfect spot to use as home base for exploring the area. Great fishing spot right down the road. Owners are great to work with and perfect hosts. The only thing I would add to the amenities would be a hammock or lounge chair to enjoy the quiet in the meadow and watch the deer come out at dusk."

"We spent the month of August here and was very pleased with not only the Condo, but the grounds and pool which always looked inviting. The 2 bedroom condo was clean with a kitchen that has everything you might need. The condo is close to almost everything, and easy to get to the grocery stores and both the Western and Empire Mall. It's been a great experience and we hope to use this place again whenever we plan to be in Sioux Falls. Thanks Sue & Brian"

"This was my first rental using VRBO. I was rather hesitant but was looking forward to the experience of something other than a hotel or timeshare. Chimney Canyon Estate is situated on a ridge-top overlooking Chimney Canyon only 15 minutes from Rapid City.... but you have the feeling of having stepped through a door into the most peaceful wilderness setting you could ask for. We were met at the house and given the tour and shown how everything worked. The home was tastefully appointed in western motif - Native American art throughout. After a long drive it was dark and we had dinner in a kitchen that had everything a cook could ask for and then retired to the main bedroom - yes a waterbed - but not the 1980s type - it was very supportive...and another bedroom downstairs. The next morning walked out onto the wraparound deck and the blaze of red sumac and other orange, yellows and greens against the reforesting canyon hillside was something to marvel at. Some earlier reviews stated it would be nice if there was furniture on the deck. Was surprised to find several pieces had been added and this allowed for some nice breakfasts out there. The large expansive windows gave a great view from inside as well. The owner had a table stocked with all the travel info of the surrounding area you could ask for and next to that a telescope for stargazing at night. All the furniture was comfortable and the bathrooms well maintained with plenty of hot water. A garage sheltered the rental car from the elements. Within an hour's drive was so much to see that you easily could have stayed there three weeks or more. It was literally in the center of all the attractions and such a great place to come home to. Wished I had more time just to relax there. I can only hope that the next VRBO rental I am looking for in Maine will be half as nice. I would recommend to anyone visiting the area without reservation. Thanks much for making the first week of our vacation so wonderful."
