"Really enjoyed staying at this quaint little house. Amie the owner is extremely hospitable and this home was certainly well appointment and with lots of amenities. We came up from Atlanta, GA for the Sturgis Rally and to take advantage of being able to sightsee in a very picturesque part of the country. This home is strategically located to the downtown area and has easy freeway access, yet it still provided a "tucked" away feeling. There was ample parking for our truck and bike trailer. The location of the property put us within easy riding distance of Sturgis, The Badlands, The Black Hills National Forrest, and Devils Tower, Wyoming. We have no hesitation recommending this property and we would stay there again if the opportunity ever presents itself."

"My husband and I decided to go here for a second time. The first time was over a year ago just to get away. This visit was to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin is a great place to use as a base to go do things or to just hang out and relax. It's located down the road from Lewey's, which makes terrific burgers. It's also not too far from Cheyenne Crossing, which makes a ridiculously good breakfast! Paddy O'Neils in Deadwood has a great menu. Our favorite is the kettle chips with ranch dressing.
The bed is more of a double and definitely not a queen. We like sleeping on a queen, so it's just a bit smaller. The cabin does not have Wi-Fi, which wasn't as big of a deal the first time we went there, but we really wish it was there this time so we could have used Netflix to watch a few movies on our iPad. I know, we were ther to unplug! We did watch one of the many available movies they had there and also purchased one to watch.
The cabin is very private. The creek running behind the cabin was high due to all of the rain we've had, which was nice to listen to while sleeping at night. This is a very peaceful and relaxing cabin. It's definitely a place to get away from it all. You feel like you are completely unplugged, but you're actually only a few minutes from town. Our next visit will include a bicycle ride down the Mickelson Trail.
We visited Devil's Tower, which was about an hour and a half drive. If you go to Devil's Tower, make sure to go to the right on the 2.8 mile trail that way you are going downhill in the sun and uphill in the shade of the trees."

"We just returned from an incredible family trip to the Black Hills area. MGG was the PERFECT cabin for our family! The cabin was spotless, well maintained and showed obvious signs of owner pride. My oldest daughter even commented to me how much pride the owners must take in their cabin. The beds were super comfortable and the cabin was well stocked with all of the furnishings, bedding, blankets, towels, firewood, etc. we could possibly need. It was clear to us that a lot of thought was put into making the cabin enjoyable for guests. The outside of the cabin was equally great with plenty of room for our children to play, run, explore and have fun. Additionally, the views cannot be beat. We enjoyed the town of Hill City as it offered some unique shopping and dining options. Also, it is centrally located to the areas we traveled to including Mt. Rushmore and Custer State Park. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cabin - truly top notch in all areas!!!"

"Our family (my husband, me and 2 teenage boys) stayed at this rental property for the first time over the 2014 Christmas holiday and it was wonderful. We flew in from Washington DC to visit family in rapid city and the house was very clean and well prepared with a nicely stocked kitchen, dish soap, paper towels, soap, etc. We only needed to purchase a little food/snacks and that was nice since we were flying. We walked everyday around the Canyon lake which was beautiful and convenient. Lastly, my son and I have allergies and our recent visits staying in other places at Rapid City have been a disaster with serious allergic reactions to the dust/dirt. We felt wonderful, healthy and experienced no allergy coughing while staying here and that was such as blessing. Also the owner if very attentive and will work with you to make your stay nice. We will stay here again."
