"We had a family reunion for my parents 60th wedding anniversary. Family roots are from the Black Hills and we had family from Minnesota, Wyoming and Arizona. The house was awesome, pictures do not do it justice. There was so much room we never felt crowded. Even though it rained much of trip we never felt closed in. The family room, the loft with pool table, the kitchen and huge dining room table, the hot tub, the beautiful deck and the quiet main living room with the beautiful picture window overlooking the Hills all were used. Even the garage was used for bean toss game and conversations. The personal touches with pictures and décor relative to the area added to the enjoyment. We enjoyed watching the deer as they came routinely. We heard the wild turkeys but didn't see them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had great family time."

"We stayed here with another family for a week. There were 8 of us total and there was plenty of space for all of us. It's a great central location for all the Black Hills tourist areas. The only 2 things we weren't fond of was the lack of window shades (kids were up early with the sun) and the water pressure. You really can only do one thing with water, which made it hard to make breakfast and get ready as a large group. Overall it was much better than a resort or hotel as we had our own space including a full kitchen. Thank you! Would highly recommend this cabin!"

"Shady Grove cabin was wonderful! With four adults, we had plenty of room. Accommodations are outstanding and what you see in the pictures is what you get. It was clean, all amenities were available, and the decorating and design very nicely done!
Our hosts Carol and Lin were fun, knowledgeable of the area and offered options to do (horseback riding, Spearfish Canyon and seeing the various falls and hiking trails, etc.). We took advantage of sleeping in and just enjoying the view from the decks, seeing the wild life, grilling dinners, and hiking in the area by the cabin. Very relaxing!
We highly recommend Shady Grove and hope to return in the future! Thank you Carol and Lin :)"

"Great place for a group of "Senior" friends to use as "home" while visiting Black Hills for 9 days. Well stocked house (kitchen, bath towels, laundry). Very clean and everything in working order. Owner was very nice and easy to communicate with. Great location for everything in the Hills. Only drawback (for some) is no wifi. Actually is was good to be "unhooked" for 9 days."
