  • Fabulous place to stay - the pictures don't do it justice

"We came with our ATV and had a wonderful time. Plenty of room to park our trailer. No need to trailer your ATV to start your ride - just go out the door and hop on! We especially liked eating outside while listening to the creek. The owners are very friendly. I would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to ride - or just wants a quiet place to get away from it all."

  • SDSU reunion

"We had a great time in the Hills. 6 friends who all went to SDSU, that is South Dakota State, not San Diego. Enjoyed the cabin and all the amenities. Saw turkey and deer every day. Nice central location for what we wanted to do. Went to Devils Tower, watched the Buffalo Roundup and did the Crazy Horse Volksmarch. Even played a little basketball and threw some horse shoes. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet place with lots to do. Thank you for making our mini reunion so relaxing. Hopefully we will get a chance to use it again sometime in the future."

  • Even better than advertised!

"This is the best little secluded hideaway in the Black Hills - without exception. The cabin has everything a family/small group needs, and it is CLEAN and WELL-MAINTAINED. Every year the owners add something new to the cabin to make our experience there even better than before. They appreciate us as guests, and we appreciate them! Sunrise over the quiet meadow is just like the photo - and then the wildlife starts to show up. This summer we watched a doe stand up and wait for her newborn, twin fawns to stumble to their feet and follow her into the trees. And all this happens within easy access and convenience to the many attractions of the Hills! Whether close-by, or on a day-trip adventure, there are all kinds of fun things to do and places to go - for children and/or adults. Keep your camera handy. And don't miss The Great Faces (aka Mount Rushmore)! If you want a break from using the cabin's awesome kitchen, there's a great burger and a pint; buttermilk pancakes or an Indian taco; or a trout dinner to be found at Lewie's, Cheyenne Crossing Cafe, or the Latchstring Inn respectively - all of which boast national acclaim. Our whole family, including the kids, has personal favorites at all three. We have stayed at this cabin several times. I guess it is obvious why 'the cabin' is our favorite place for making memories with our family. Thank you."

  • Loved it

"We loved this bunk house. It was further then we anticipated from Sturgis but was a great ride. The roof did leak in one spot. It had an excellent view and was just what we wanted after a long ride. The scenery can not be beat. The side porch was great for sitting and watching the rain or incoming storm. Plan on returning to Sturgis in 2015 and hope to rent from here again. Love it."
