"Stayed a month and enjoyed every moment of everyday. The residential location made us feel like locals and not tourists passing through. Very nice facilities. Property manager Julie was most accommodating and responsive to all our needs. Very nice amenities. We totally recommend."

"The property is located on a well kept gravel road approximately one-quarter mile off of the main paved road. The cottage is clean and has all the modern conveniences that we could want. The property is lovely with deer out front in the evenings and with an occasional group of turkeys wondering through. You will have to take time to travel to most of the tourist sites with Hill City almost an hour away. Sturgis is 20 minutes to the north. However, the rides are worth it with beautiful scenery along the way. There is a fairly large concrete patio out back which we didn't use nearly enough, but in the mornings it was a wonderful place to read a book and have coffee. Dalton Lake Road is actually a nice place to take an evening or morning walk, and if you drive to its end, there is actually a very nice trail that follows a good sized stream. Loved the cottage, location, and experience."

"We had more fun on this property than going to all the attractions. If you are farm people or adventurers you will enjoy the miles of walking and looking at past mining items and rolling hills and some farmland. The buildings were authentic and made you feel like you were living in the past. I enjoyed the owners scrapbook explaining the homemade items in the house and history of the area. It is a few miles off the beaten path but that is part of it's charm. So close to areas like Crazy Horse, Jewel cave, Mt. Rushmore and Hill City and Custer. Loved seeing Custer state park and it was right down the road. Owners were close by and very helpful if needed."

"Our four night stay was super fun. We were in close proximity to Mt. Rushmore and downtown Keystone. We had daily driving adventures with one or two specific excursions per day. You must stay in the Black Hills when going to South Dakota!!! We loved coming home at night to the firepit and grilling! We played bocce ball and soccer and the kids just ran around. The steam train comes by the property and it was so fun to see. The owners were super responsive when we needed additional gas for the grill. We will return to this property!!!! Location, location, location!!!"
