  • Traveling with teens

"Quiet, secluded, very comfortable, clean and away from the touring crowds, this mountain retreat was perfect for my husband and me with our two teenaged nieces. Yes, you will have to drive almost 3 miles off of Hwy 385 on a winding, mostly gravel road with some steep inclines to get there, but a good location for touring all the Black Hills sites. The owner was very responsive to our needs. I'd recommend it to a friend."

  • Great Place to Stay

"We stayed here for a week in Summer of 2012. Great location. Great access to walking/bicycle trails. Easy access to the Black Hills. Plenty of room, nice garage area for the bikes."

  • Loved It!

"We stayed at Antler Ridge July 7-16th 2014 and loved it. It was a family group of 6 adults, 5 teenagers and a baby and the house fit us perfectly. While we were there we visited many sights...Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, climbed Harney Peak, Needles Highway, Deadwood and Lead, Spearfish Canyon, Devil's Tower, Bear Butte Park, the Geology Museum in Rapid City, panning for gold and the Badlands. It was a great family vacation. Be prepared to drive a lot though, because all of the sights are spread out and you need to drive curvy roads which takes longer. The house had all of the amenities that we needed and we would highly recommend a stay here. Consider Antler Ridge if you are exploring the area. Thank you Rueben and Joan!"

  • Best Vacation Home!

"This peaceful and charming home was our anchor for our trip to the Black Hills this summer. We arrived late in the evening, as we wanted to check out the Badlands on our way to Hot Springs. It was such a relief to open the door and find ourselves in such a cozy and welcoming space! When we woke up the next morning, after resting on the most comfortable beds we've slept on outside of our own house, we were delighted with the entire space. Kara - you have a wonderful sense of style that struck a balance between charming, whimsical, and comfortable. Being able to make our own breakfasts and dinners while on vacation was such a great advantage - my family was able to eat hearty breakfasts that took us through our hikes in Custer State Park and the Wind Cave Nation Parks, and grilling our own steaks was the perfect way to end a busy day. Hot Springs itself is such a quaint little town. We had many a pleasant talk with the locals, be it at the grocery store or the boutiques by the riverfront walks. (Having a coffee kiosk right nearby the house was wonderful in its own right!) I simply cannot say enough about the hospitality shown by Kara and the town of Hot Springs - it's easy to say this was my family's favorite summer vacation - exploring the southern Black Hills and Western Nebraska was a treat!"
