  • Family Vacation

"This cabin was perfect for our family get together/vacation. There were 9 of us and it was perfect. The cabin was large, comfortable and beautiful. The views were amazing. The owners were a pleasure to work with and the cabin was exactly as it was portrayed in the listing. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks so much for allowing us to use your beautiful cabin."

  • Little Elk

"This place was just as cute as was shown by the pictures. It was cozy and was set back from the road...just down the road from beautiful Dalton Lake and surrounded by national forest with a completely wooded backdrop. There were linens and towels and kitchen was fully stocked, which was convenient. The location was within 90 minutes of all of our points of interest in South Dakota, which made for great sightseeing opportunities daily."

  • Nice home

"The home was in a wonderful location! It was close to town yet far enough away for some privacy. The views where great! We even had a herd of elk walk by one night! My kids loved the air hockey table, hot tub and the owners dog. There is something for everyone. The inside of the home was nice, but could have used a little updating."

  • Even better than advertised!

"This is the best little secluded hideaway in the Black Hills - without exception. The cabin has everything a family/small group needs, and it is CLEAN and WELL-MAINTAINED. Every year the owners add something new to the cabin to make our experience there even better than before. They appreciate us as guests, and we appreciate them! Sunrise over the quiet meadow is just like the photo - and then the wildlife starts to show up. This summer we watched a doe stand up and wait for her newborn, twin fawns to stumble to their feet and follow her into the trees. And all this happens within easy access and convenience to the many attractions of the Hills! Whether close-by, or on a day-trip adventure, there are all kinds of fun things to do and places to go - for children and/or adults. Keep your camera handy. And don't miss The Great Faces (aka Mount Rushmore)! If you want a break from using the cabin's awesome kitchen, there's a great burger and a pint; buttermilk pancakes or an Indian taco; or a trout dinner to be found at Lewie's, Cheyenne Crossing Cafe, or the Latchstring Inn respectively - all of which boast national acclaim. Our whole family, including the kids, has personal favorites at all three. We have stayed at this cabin several times. I guess it is obvious why 'the cabin' is our favorite place for making memories with our family. Thank you."
