  • Obviously nicer than a Hotel

"We were lucky enough to find this gem of a rental on the internet. The accomodations were much nicer than a hotel would have been. The Nugget is centrally located for all of the scenic sights such as Devils Tower, Spearfish Canyon, Mount Rushmore, etc. My family had a wonderful time and the apartment was much more relaxing after sightseeing all day than coming back to a cramped hotel room. My mother-in-law came with us and we were able to use the kitchen table for card games at nights. I would recommend the Nugget for anyone who would like the comforts of a home away from home."

  • Great Lodge!

"Perfect place for our retreat! Comfy beds, plenty of room, very clean and good location. The kitchen had everything we needed. I would recommend this lodge for any retreat or family reunion. The place looks better than the pictures!"

  • Hill City Haven

"MGG is AMAZING. Close to City stuff like the local Krulls, or gas station, but far enough away at night to feel like you are the only person in town. Close to all major attractions. Went to Rushmore, Crazy Horse , hiked Harney peak, Little Devil's Tower, Mickelson trail ( parts ) Custer State Park, Needles parkway, Iron Mountain road,..The cabin is GORGEOUS and HUGE! Didn't use the bedroom downstairs but had to peek! Not a hot tub person but the deck out back was perfect for stargazing at night and before sunrise . LOVED the look of this place inside and out. Front porch was perfect for viewing sunrise and listening to the stream down the hill. The decorations inside and out give it a warm Western feel. The loft bedroom with couch was BRILLILANT. Bed and couch were both quite Comfy!!! Kept the window open at night and it was SO quiet, that a couple nights I was awakened by the sound of deer pulling up grass with their teeth, crunching ground as they walked across the lawn or simply snorting breath through their nostrils. The living room rocking chair was my favorite spot and I read there every night. Thanks SO MUCH for the firewood and starter pieces...Had a fire every night. Fantastic! Living room is very large and so is the kitchen which comes equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need. I loved that there was a regular coffee maker and a Keurig. I still like my Mr. Coffee type dispenser. The bathroom was gigantic! And included a washer/dryer unit . I did use the washer once and that was very welcome after washing clothes in the bathroom sink! The nightlight in the bathroom was helpful too. The desk in the hall way was very useful for so many things that I found I needed like scratch paper, a pen, a rubber band, tape, etc...The hooks in the hallway were convenient for hanging keys and coats and the place was so beautiful I left my shoes at the door every night! The tile in the kitchen and bath was so clean and the carpet looked brand new. All the little decorating flourishes really added to the ambiance. It is impossible to remember the little things in every nook and corner like the shower rings with leaves on the tips or the blankets folded over pieces of furniture or table covers and furniture fabric which all felt like it was specifically chosen to enhance the getaway feeling. BRAVO! I liked that there were books under the coffee table which were about SD or SD attractions. Can't say enough good things! Management team are THE BEST!!"

  • Great place to stay!

"Very clean and just a few miles from Mount Rushmore. Had car trouble on the way there and the owners were great to work with. Loved seeing deer, wild turkey, and rabits almost everyday in front of our cabin. Cabin had everthing we needed and the gas grill was a plus. Would for sure stay here again!"
