"We had such a great time! Mary was the perfect hostess!!!The grounds are outstanding! We love to hike and there was so much to see! There is a beautiful 2 mile hike to a bluff overlooking the valley! The house was beautiful and clean! The bedrooms were decorated with love and care! We had 7 of us for NASCAR. It fit us perfect. It was great being able to come to a nice quiet, beautiful place after being at NASCAR all day. There is a lake near by that we never even got to. Mary had the most beautiful cheese platter waiting for us. She also had milk and eggs in the refrigerator. The best basket of bagels, bars, cookies, bread, tea's etc. We were suppose only have 6 of us, the 7th person had another place to stay but had ridden out with us. Once he saw the house and the grounds he wouldn't leave!!!Thank you again Mary fro your great hospitality and putting up with us!!!Don't forget to look us up when you come to Cali!"

"We stayed over Thanksgiving 2014 and had a wonderful time. The home sits at the top of a hill over looking Lake Holston from the rear of the house. The home had plenty of everything, towels, pillows, sheets etc. There was Sleeping for eight but the owner also had a couple of twin mattresses to throw on the floor. The weather was cold and we had plenty of firewood to burn to keep the house "toasty' without the furnace. There is a loft in the house which represents the 4th bedroom. It was a great place for the kids and they had there own bath. The house is about 15 minutes from Bristol. Be sure to do the Bristol Cave tour and if you are there during the holidays don't miss the "Speedway Lights for Christmas". They actually let you do a lap on the track as part of the Christmas tour. Go early as the lines to get in our long but worth the wait. The owner allowed us to bring a dog even though the listing says " No Pets". Our experience with the rental was good and would recommend the listing."

"This is an awesome place to take your family or meet up with friends to go fishing. The cabin is nicely furnished and equipped. The views from the deck are fantastic and the location on the stream provides easy access to fishing. Also, the owner is very helpful and responsive to questions."

"We booked this at the last minute for a quick get away before we dropped our daughter off at Virginia Tech. It was a great house to spread out in, 3 teenagers and they all had their own room. the fooseball was a hit! The private cove was a relaxing spot to read and enjoy a glass of wine. The only things you need is a bathing suit and some food. the house was equip with whatever we needed to cook a couple of meals.
we walked around Bristol, antique shopped, Hiked at the Channels, kayaked down the Holston River, biked the Creeper trail, and rented a Pontoon and explored the lake. It was so convenient to doc the boat at the house for a quick lunch! We went to the Farmer's market in Abingdon and got some veggies and awesome bread! Lots to see and do!! This was a good basecamp location
Great way to cap off the summer and regroup for another school year! Bernard was great to work !!!"
