"This place is awesome. A tad bit hard to find due to no sign at the driveway, but it's well worth the search. The serenity of this awesome place is unreal. Hidden away at the foothills of the smokey mountains and on the Tennessee river, this was just what my wife and myself needed. Mrs Susan was such a wonderful host, and you can set your watch with her perfect 8:00am timing with breakfast delivered to your door. The view of the river and mountains is just simply stunning. Canoeing, fishing, swimming or simply watching fireflies at night, this getaway spot offers it all. Regrettably, we were only able to stay for one night and two days, but man was it well worth it. This quick trip did exactly what it needed to do, and I don't believe we could've gotten the relaxation and quietness anywhere else but here. We will most definitely plan to stay with captain jerry and mrs Susan again, and for and extended period no doubt. Don't cheat yourself out of a very awesome, quiet, relaxing and romantic getaway by passing this place up. We are SO glad we found "the loft at river canyon"."

Excellent Picnic Spot Type Cabin with Views up in the Mountain overlooing the SinkHole (MontLake)
"This house was a remodeled house and was a perfect rustic abode for 3 families that were looking to nestle somewhere up in the mountains with stunning nature views. Its got everything we wanted:
1. Up on a mountain
2. All rooms on the same floor
3. Over looking a water body with a water fall. (Small but nice)
4. Patio to enjoy camp fire. (W tonnes of firewood)
5. Drive down the mountain and you have access to the town with Walmart and other likes.
We spent four nights here and every bit of surrounding was simply ecstatic. First couple of days we were touring Chattanooga attractions and on the last day we said we really need to spend some time in and around this place and that's what we did. We trekked around the lake with kids and just kept snapping pictures. Oh and we had a campfire almost every night and the kids enjoyed their marshmallows on the fire. We also grilled some chicken one night. (they have a descent grill out on the patio too). The owner lived next door, but they sure did keep to themselves all the time. Only 2 cons we faced were, Internet signal was not that great, (but again on a vacation, you really need to be away from internet) and one pesky flush that was stubborn and did not want to work right. Also make sure to read the BOOK on the side table of the main sofa. Its got some nice paintings depicting the owner's and their family history and the place. (Oh some of the full beds should really be Queens to make 12 sleep cozy)"

"This weekend was our first stay at a VRBO, and it far and away exceeded our expectations. It's close enough to Chattanooga to be very convenient, yet it feels so far away. The porch is bliss inducing, with the hot tub adding another dimension. On our first entry, the cabin was completely ready, like it was welcoming us with open arms.
The three little girls with us found many nooks and grannies to play in. They were private enough for the girls, but still accessible to us parents. The grill was great for us dad's and the kitchen was well appointed for the moms. Grocery stores are convenient. The owner is great to work with, and the little ones are asking when we're going back.
I liked Tom's Cabin better than beachfront homes we've re Ted on the Gulf. Recommended!"
