  • HUGE Beautiful Clean Place- in the Smoky Mts with Stunning Views

"My family consisting of 22 adults and 2 small kids stayed here this July, 2011. It was a great experience for everyone. The inside of the house was stunning- well maintained- and really beautiful. The pictures actually don't do the property justice- because the rooms are just so nice. We had to move the kitchen tables around a bit- because their placement just didn't flow well. My complaints- the refrigerator in the kitchen is not big enough for a house that size- the picture is misleading- one side is freezer and one side is fridge- there is another fridge on the top level of the house- but you have to go up 3 floors to get there- just not very useful. The 'grill' consists of 2 small charcoal grills that are permanent fixtures in the front of the house. Also not ideal- for a house this big/impressive- they could purchase a quailty grill. The top floor ceiling fans did not work- and it got pretty hot up there. The kitchen could use a little reorganizing- there seems to be dishware all over the place- and the light fixtures in the kitchen def need a little de-bugging as the lights that hung over the tables were pretty filled. Other than that- the place was great- there was enough linens for everyone- towels. etc. We did not use the jacuzzi while we were there- but the media room was a welcome place- we had a harry potter marathon before going out to see the final potter movie. The area has plenty to do- we enjoyed everything from golfing, horseback riding, hiking in great smoky mts NP, white water rafting, zip lining, dollywood, the Dixieland Stampede, and walking/jogging up the hill where the house sits. The house itself was in a private complex- It's driveway is close to the road- but there are only 1-2 houses up the road- so it appears to be pretty isolated. Meaning- neighbors are not close at all. There were some issues with us getting the exact address from the rental company- we ended up having to use google earth to get a more exact address. The views from the porches were stunning- and we got to experience a wild TN lightning storm one night. Wish there was a pool- but we prob would have never left the house then! I def recommend this house to anyone with a larger family. The grocery stores in town aren't the best- but places to see include: The Gatlinburg Golf Course, Dollywood, Walden Creek Stables (horseback ride), Rapid Expeditions (white water rafting), and the National Park for some outstanding hiking. Enjoy your vacation"

  • First time in a cabin

"This was the first time that my husband and I stayed in a cabin in the Mountains. It was great! So clean--everything was there that we needed. Loved the porch that faced the mountains. Every morning I sat in the swing and looked at God's beauty in the mountains. Natalie was very helpful during the booking process. She was great."

  • Secluded Family Getaway

"This trip was per our eldest son's request, as he is entering his last year of high school and this may be our last family vacation with him. He requested "secluded", so he could get away from people, and near water to boat and jet ski. This home was exactly what he wanted. We saw no other people, except for occasional boats passing by while we were relaxing on the dock We went with 5 teenagers, ages 14-18,who loved every minute of our stay. The days were spent on the water, as we were able to tie off our boat, canoe and jet ski on the private dock. This feature was a nice convenience. The evenings were spent preparing large meals together in the well appointed kitchen, followed by card games, movies or relaxing in the rocking chairs on the large covered back porch. The girls enjoyed the jetted tub included in the master suite...which they took turns using most evenings after dinner. The double shower was a nice feature as well. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday, you will enjoy the solitude this home provides. I was unable to connect with my IPad or computer using my air card or Verizon hotspot, which forced me to truly put work behind me for a week and enjoy our family time together. The hill behind the house is steep as indicated in the description. Our teens had no problem "running" up and down it. We older people had to take our good ole' time. The description and photo's are accurate. Property clean and well maintained. Would recommend staying here."

  • Wonderful Budget Rental!!

"My family of 4 spent 5 wonderful nights in this secluded cabin. We arrived late at night and the directions were clear and the cabin easy to find. We were looking for a cabin that was away from the noise and traffic, not too expensive, with a washer/dryer and WIFI. We found it all at Piney Crest. Even though the cabin is older, it was spotless and clean. The location is wonderful. It was only about a 25 minute drive to Gatlinburg and the National Park but far enough away that we felt very secluded in the beautiful woods. The hot tub was a hit with our girls and a perfect way to end a day of hiking and sight seeing. I would stay here again and would recommend this cabin to others. BTW...The Carver's Orchard Restaurant is a must eat place and is 5 minutes away. Thanks so much for a unforgettable family vacation! We made many wonderful memories with our daughters."
