  • Thanksgiving on the Lake

"Our family enjoyed our time together at the Eagle's Rest. It readily accommodated all 19 of our family members. Our grandchildren ranging from preschool thru college age were able to interact as a group and at times be able to have their space. Thanks for making Thanksgiving on the Lake 2014 a memorable one. We would highly recommend it. The only challenge could be the steep road off the main street and drive way."

  • Great little cabin with great view

"We stayed here for a week in June and it was great. We were pretty much only at the cabin in the early morning or evenings but it had just about everything we needed. The only downside we encountered were the bathrooms. No fault on the owners part at all but we have a son who is handicapped and had a hard time with the showers. The rest of us had no problems with that so something to keep in mind if it applies to you. Also two of the three bedrooms are on the lower level. Other than that everything was great. Wonderful views, lots of dishes, towels, etc. It is high up on the mountain and the road is narrow. You do have cabins on both sides of you but honestly we didn't really notice. It's so peaceful and quiet. The perfect area for a vacation away from it all. Another note, if you use the upstairs bedroom, you will need to close the curtains at night. On the mountain directly across from your window is a very bright street light or porch light or something, drove my daughter crazy the first night. The owners were great to work with and made the whole process smooth. Look forward to visiting again soon."

  • Quiet, yet close to everything! Would stay again!

"Family of six (father, mother, three girls ages 3, 8, and 12, and grandmother) stayed here last week. This was our first time using VRBO and first visit to the Smoky Mountains. We arrived on a Tuesday evening and had no issue getting into the cabin by using the code that we received from management. The cabin was only a few blocks from the main highway in Pigeon Forge, yet it still felt secluded and was quiet and peaceful. The cabin is located at the top of a hill and overlooks beautiful trees. There are other cabins along this same stretch of road (including across the street and on the left side of the cabin) but it doesn't feel crowded and we never heard any of our neighbors. We were pleasantly surprised at the amount of necessities that were already in the cabin including toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, hand soap, lotion, salt and pepper, towels, real plates and utensils, pots and pans, etc. We brought extras of these items but only ended up needing to use our own toilet paper. The cabin is modestly and tastefully decorated, nothing fancy but nothing horrifically 80's, etc. Kroger and Family Dollar are only a few blocks away, which was very convenient. We bought quite a bit of groceries and ate breakfast and most dinners in the cabin. Everything worked fine (televisions, DVD players, WIFI, NFL game, hot tub). The only negatives we had were minor (so minor that we did not call to complain about any of them) such as the fact that the recliner does not appear to recline, some of the blinds are a bent, one of the pool sticks had a slight crack at the tip, and the upstairs toilet has a crack across the seat that pinches your backside when you stand up. Toilet seats are pretty cheap, so hopefully this will be fixed before the next person stays! My favorite part about the cabin was the view from the decks. We made coffee in the coffee pot every morning and sat in the rocking chairs overlooking the woods, sipping coffee and enjoying the sounds of nature. Shocked at how peaceful it is despite being so close to the center of town. Our kids loved the hot tub, the WIFI, the jetted tub in the master bedroom, and the stacks of board games that were present. It takes approximately 7-8 minutes to get to most of Pigeon Forge from this cabin. It only took us fifteen minutes to get to Forbidden Caverns and Wonderworks in Sevierville. Cades Cove is half an hr away and Cherokee, NC was a beautiful trip at only 1 hr. away. Loved our stay!"

  • Bachelorette Weekend

"We had a wonderful weekend at this cabin. The cabin was clean and I felt safe in the area. It was also quiet and fairly secluded. The owner of the property was also easy to contact and very friendly!"
