"We arrived at the cabin & the air was not working. We contacted the owner & it was fixed in a timely manner. The cabin was nice & comfortable but was lid out a little strange. To get to the third bedroom, you had to walk through the second bedroom which was inconvenient for the person in bedroom 2. It was only a few minutes drive to Sevierville & to Pigeon Forge. The cabins are pretty close to each other which I wasn't wild about but we never heard our neighbors."

"We loved the altitude adjustment cabin. It was a great escape from our everyday life. We all loved the game room. If was the kids first choice over their electronics. The location was great. The drive from the parkway was a little nerve wracking but the location was very close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to cook several dinners. We used the hot tub almost everyday and enjoyed it very much. We have stayed at a dozen VRBO rentals In last several years and this is one of our favorites. The knotty pine walls and ceilings were a nice feature. The two decks were amazing as well. The gas grill porch rockers and a patio set on the top deck were nice addition we did not expect. Overall it was probably one if our best family vacations. We loved the area. There is so much to do."

  • Hands down our favorite in Gatlinburg

"We just arrived home after another wonderful stay at Laurel Lodge. We went with 4 other couples for a kid free extended weekend stay. This is by far our favorite chalet in Gatlinburg but it does not feel like a normal chalet it feels like a home. Location: The location of Laurel Lodge is perfect. You are close to everything but feel like you are far enough away to enjoy the beautiful views of the mountains. Interior & Exterior: Decorated so beautifully and includes everything you could need. The beds are so comfy and rooms all have tvs, 2 bedrooms have their own bathroom. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of pots and pans, dishes and glasses. The table seats 6 and there are 3 bar stools so everyone can be in the same room eating and enjoying each others company. The movie theater is such a great addition and we watched most of our tv down there. On our last trip we spent most of our time in the pool table loft but this time we only used once or twice. This trip was mainly relaxing in the hot tub and playing games in the yard. The yard is one of the biggest perks of this place b/c most of the places you rent in the area have no yard to speak of. We had plenty of room to play outdoor games in the side and front yard. I love the wrap around porch and it provides peace and quiet and little areas to get away from the crowd and enjoy a cup of coffee. Things to know before you go: The ice maker really takes an entire night to refill. We ran out of ice every day and by the night there was nothing left. I recommend buying a bag or two of ice to use as a back up in the evening until it remakes a new full batch overnight. The dryer takes at least two full rounds before towels are dry. The management company provides a roll or two of paper towels, 2 or 3 dishwasher packets, soap and sponges, and a roll or two of toilet paper per bathroom. Our group each brought one or two dishwasher pods from home, a roll of paper towels etc. it worked great. I wish we had remembered cleaning solution for counter tops and dawn soap for times you just want to wash one pot or pan. The closest grocery is only 5 or 10 minutes away and called Food City. They have everything you would need. I would not want to stay at any other property. After renting in Gatlinburg for approx 20 years every other year this particular chalet is the only one I would want to stay over and over."

"Family Tyme was a wonderful cabin for our visit to the area. It was immaculately clean, the furniture was upgraded from most rentals and the beds were wonderful. The two bedrooms are well separated offering privacy and our grandson really enjoyed the hot tub."
