  • Relaxation desperately needed and found!

"We were looking for a vacation to rest, relax, recharge. We found it and didnt want to leave! We will be back! Thank you so much for the hospitality that we received not only from VR4U, but from the community! The owners of the Outfitter Cafe were very helpful in telling where to go fly fishing! What a success! And...the food there was fantastic! Speaking of food...Tellico Plains Bakery. Let's just say we went there every day it was open! As far as the accommodations, so much more than a cabin. Beautiful property. We are already looking to see when we are coming back next year!"

  • Great place for a Reunion!

"Sixteen of us, close family members, from various parts of the country, met at this wonderful, private lodge in the beautiful Tennessee mountains. There's plenty of space for all, and if you need "space", you can have it! The sunsets and night skies are awesome (it stays light 'til 9pm) on the very large wrap-around porch...a favorite place for us all! If you love nature, you'll love this place. Thanks for the wonderful stay and lasting memories."

  • Hidden gem!

"We love it so much we have extended our stay! The screened deck off the living area, right over the creek is beyond perfection! The cabin is small, with just a nook of a kitchen, but perfect for our needs. No dishwasher- not a problem for the 2 of us. Nice touches like a stone vessel sink in the bathroom. Nicely furnished, with a real cabin feel. The bed does seem small/cosy compared to our king at home, but open the window & the sound of the creek lulls you to sleep! Bring staples as noted on property description - condiments, soap, extra Paper products. Wood is available for a fee, or you can also buy in town. Wi-fi is spotty to non existent on our iPad/iPhones on the porch or deck. Rent the larger lodge (same owner) next door if this is a deal breaker for you. No cell service; satellite tv has adequate channel selections. It did smell musty when we arrived, but the last people out had left dehumidifier off- we turned it back on & problem solved. Caretakers Jill & Eldon are neighbors nearby to help or answer questions, & also owner is super responsive. We will return as often as possible!"

  • Great place for dogs, lovely property

"Wonderful place to spend a quiet weekend. The property is beautiful and very spacious - great for large dogs to run around. There is even a run in the front yard. Easy to find, but secluded. No cell service for miles, which is a little hard to get used to, but makes for a nice way to disconnect from the world. Wifi worked but required periodically resetting the router. Not sure that the "stocked fish pond" has any fish in it, as it's very small and shallow, but perhaps we just didn't have any luck. Be aware that the grill is charcoal, and you'll be too far out from civilization to just run to the store, so plan ahead! Also, the listing states that kennels are available for pets, but we were glad to have brought our own crate as there were a few that were far too small for our medium-large dog, and one large one that was very dirty. My only real complaint is that it was unclear how we were going to get access to the property as no one ever contacted us with that information. We ended up contacting the property manager directly, who said that she wasn't even aware that the cabin had been booked (uh-oh) but that everything was ready, and in the end we had no problem checking in or checking out. It just would have been nice if the details were more clear from the outset. All in all, a lovely and peaceful stay. Really a great place for large city-living dogs to stretch their legs and explore, or just lounge about in the sun while mom and dad lounge in the hammock."
