  • Relaxation desperately needed and found!

"We were looking for a vacation to rest, relax, recharge. We found it and didnt want to leave! We will be back! Thank you so much for the hospitality that we received not only from VR4U, but from the community! The owners of the Outfitter Cafe were very helpful in telling where to go fly fishing! What a success! And...the food there was fantastic! Speaking of food...Tellico Plains Bakery. Let's just say we went there every day it was open! As far as the accommodations, so much more than a cabin. Beautiful property. We are already looking to see when we are coming back next year!"

  • R&R

"The highlight was the back porch. Sat out there every morning wrapped in a throw blanket just listening to the wind through the trees. All stress melted away. It was just what my husband and I needed after a recent health crisis. Convalescing at home can get depressing after a while, so this change of scenery was perfect for lifting spirits."

  • Hidden gem!

"We love it so much we have extended our stay! The screened deck off the living area, right over the creek is beyond perfection! The cabin is small, with just a nook of a kitchen, but perfect for our needs. No dishwasher- not a problem for the 2 of us. Nice touches like a stone vessel sink in the bathroom. Nicely furnished, with a real cabin feel. The bed does seem small/cosy compared to our king at home, but open the window & the sound of the creek lulls you to sleep! Bring staples as noted on property description - condiments, soap, extra Paper products. Wood is available for a fee, or you can also buy in town. Wi-fi is spotty to non existent on our iPad/iPhones on the porch or deck. Rent the larger lodge (same owner) next door if this is a deal breaker for you. No cell service; satellite tv has adequate channel selections. It did smell musty when we arrived, but the last people out had left dehumidifier off- we turned it back on & problem solved. Caretakers Jill & Eldon are neighbors nearby to help or answer questions, & also owner is super responsive. We will return as often as possible!"

  • An Exceptional Mountian Home

"This is perhaps one of the most gorgeous mountain properties we have ever visited. Lost in time, living off the Grid!! It's not easy to be away from the necessity of a cell phone, but one we learned to enjoy. Although we were tempted to access the Internet a few times. What I absolutely adore about this place is The Story!! I didn't have to wish that the walls could talk because the owner provided a copy of her book about life in this Holler. If you desire glamorous accommodations, this is not your place. But living in a Holler, well off the beaten path is not glamorous. The accomadations were adequate for a family with children. The kitchen was over the top for accommodating a small crowd. It is a "Cook's" kitchen. Everything described in the property description was "Spot On"! No disappointments for this couple. We hope to return one day with more of our family for a once in a lifetime experience. This Mountian Home provided an exceptional Anniversary Get-A-Way for us!!"
