"This cabin is amazing, very rustic yet cozy, my wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. The hot tub was just what we needed after a long drive and several traffic jams. We would most certainly would return. I just wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights. There was so much to do, we unfortunately didn't get to do everything we wanted. We followed our GPS but it led us to the wrong place, the owner come and met us, even recommended a local restaurant. We went to Smokey Mountains National Park, and Cherokee, NC. It was only a short drive away.
I would highly recommend this place with a few exceptions. The bedroom is a loft upstairs and it has a very steep staircase so I would not recommend it for anyone with small kids, the elderly, or someone with a disability. There are 2 beds, a twin size day bed, and a queen size bed in the loft, most teenagers wouldn't want to stay in the same room with their parents. This cabin is away from it all, so a car is needed. There is a creek right out the back door with a swift current so letting small kids explore would not be a good idea. There is a jacuzzi tub upstairs in the loft, but the hot water tank doesn't have the capacity to fill it. The heat from the gas stove is a bit dry, and it gets hot fast, even on low. I would recommend a cast iron kettle to put on top of the gas stove to put moisture in the air and/or keep the windows open, which has the added benefit of hearing the creek out back, which is very relaxing. The stove is electric so if you are used to cooking on gas, it will be different. The cookware is all teflon coated, if you are worried about the adverse health effects of cooking on teflon bring something to cook on from home, if you forget it's not too far away that you can't pick up something at the store."
