"The owners are so hospitable and answered so many questions! We walked into the house and immediately fell in love with it. In the evening, we sat out on the screened in porch and watched the most beautiful sunset and reveled in the peace and tranquility. We had some family join us on Friday and Saturday and their comments echoed ours.
Everything worked well and the kitchen is very well stocked. Nice fluffy towels!!! Comfortable beds!!! and did I mention the quiet and spectacular views!
We will be back."

"A group of us and 3 other couples stayed for a week in summer '15, and we had an incredible time. The house is huge with lots of room, and the view of the lake is incredible. Also a lot to do in the surrounding area, we went swimming n the lake, touring of wineries, white water rafting and hiking. We all had a blast and highly recommend you take a visit!"

"Our family had a great stay here. The cabin has a blind driveway and is a bit unnerving getting in and out of. We passed it on the first sweep, but saw it once we turned around and came back towards it. We stayed late September just 2 weeks after they began draining Douglas Lake. It drains fast and the dock was already beached. Although we didn't come for lake play, it was still warm enough for swimming and our kids 6 & 8 had the thrill of swimming across the lake!! My husband and I spent most of our cabin time on the back porch with a birds eye view of the kids exploration activities. The porch had plenty of chairs for everyone. It was very quiet and serene. We had a neighbors nearby, but we hardly noticed them with the trees buffering out sound. The beds in the master bedrooms were extremely comfortable, best sleep we've had in a while. Our kids absolutely loved the upper loft. Everything was nice and clean; the owners were super helpful with all our concerns.
Really close by is the Forbidden Caverns. On the way there you'll pass a place to your right called the English Mountain Trout Farm. I highly recommend making it a stop, especially if you have small kids. They can guarantee your kid will catch a trout. From there you have many options; you can take it home whole, have them dress it for you and/or cook it up. That's not even all the options! It's a great time!!"

"Picturesque, quiet, and with all the comforts of home - and more. This charming log cabin with a private dock on the lake was a wonderful setting for a two couple vacation. Our son brought his sailing dinghy which was perfect for the lake with it's consistent breezes, and we brought a small inflatable to putter around only a small portion of the numerous and glorious coves. Needless to say, the time flew, but fortunately the memories are here to stay!"
