"My husband and I have vacationed in TN for several years, and I have to say "Hunker Down" is one of the best cabins we've rented. We were able to relax and just enjoy our stay. The location of the cabin is convenient and no matter what your plans might be...everything is fairly close-by. We have no complaints and would stay here again."

"We had never had the experience of staying in a cabin before and this was our 5th year in a row to Pigeon forge/Gatlinburg area. Absolutely loved the size and space this cabin offered for 2 adults, 3 kids & our little Yorkie. The inside decorations made it truly feel like a log cabin getaway, very nicely decorated. This cabin sits on the end of a cul de sac...so very quiet and private feeling. The location to Pigeon forge was not even 5 minutes away to the main parkway road & approx. 10-15 min to Gatlinburg. For our first time spending vacation in a cabin, we will never go back to a hotel if possible again! The only reason didn't give this an excellent rating was due to only 2 small issues: need of different shower heads and washer & dryer didn't work the greatest... other than that would definitely stay here again!!"

"Very nice cabin in the woods/mountain. The cabin was clean and had comfortable furniture, etc. The drive up the mountain was exciting, to say the least. Once you did the drive one time, it was ok. The owner gave very good instruction on how to get to the cabin."

"Just finished a wonderful family vacation with my 2 teenage boys (17 & 15). The Stag's Leap Cabin was beautiful. We loved all the decorations and details in the house. The boys loved the pool table when we came back to the cabin. The cabin was just as beautiful as the pictures. It's about 5 minutes from Parkway. You could drive one way out towards Sevierville or the opposite direction towards Pigeon Forge. There is so much to do, we need another week to see and do more things.
The kitchen had all the required items for any type of cooking. Plenty of dishes and silverware. We also used the Weber grill out on the deck. Kitchen had a coffee machine with filters. Fridge, stove and dishwasher were clean and in excellent working condition.
Bedrooms were clean. The beds were very comfortable for a good nights sleep after a long day of exploring TN. Plenty of towels and all seemed fairly new and plush.
Dens and living area had plenty of couches that were very comfortable. some of the couches opened up to beds so there is extra room if needed to split your kids up since there are only the 2 bedrooms.
Communications with the owners Carolyn and Chris were excellent. All of our questions were usually answered within an hour or so.
Things we did
Wahoo Ziplines, OGO park, Horseback Riding, Fly Fishing(Smokies), White Water Rafting (5 rivers adventures on the upper river Hartford), ATV's on Bluff mountan and Cades Cove Loop is a must if you enjoy nature and wildlife. We were able to find groupons or coupons for just about everything we did.
I can't say it enough times of how much we enjoyed this trip. Being able to end the day at Stag's leap was just icing on the cake. I would not hesitate to use this cabin again or recommend it to any of my friends or family.
Thank you so much Carolyn/Chris for the use of your cabin."
