  • Romantic Cabin

"My husband and I rented this cabin for our 20th wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. It is private and peaceful. It was wonderful playing pool in the downstairs entertainment room and then listening to the crickets in the evenings. The trees were dropping acorns all over and a few times we were almost pegged, but hey, that's nature. We bought some steaks and grilled them and after dinner had a glass of wine while relaxing in the hot tub listening to the sounds of the woods. We were fortunate enough to see a black momma bear and her cub walking along the road to the cabin. We got some great pictures as we slowly and carefully drove by them. Many of the stores in downtown Gatlinberg has changed since we were last there but the atmosphere is the same. We visited the many hiking trails and swimming holes we were familiar with. If anyone was looking for a good hiking trail, The Chimney Tops is always a winner. Our favorite swimming hole is called The Sinks and is right off a road in the Smokies. I highly recommend this cabin and hope to rent it again. Thanks for an amazing place to stay for our anniversary!"

  • Fun @ Rod Run 2014

"We stayed at A Touch of Heaven this past weekend for the Rod Run in Pigeon Forge. This cabin is great for a large group. We had 9 adults and two children and there was plenty of room for all! This cabin is also very close to the strip but still secluded. The owner is very nice and easy to work with. I hope to stay here again next time we return to Pigeon Forge."

  • Weekend get together

"This was a special get together with my children and grandchildren. The home was perfect for our needs. Plenty of room to spread out, games to play (I love air hockey), and a relaxing time in the hot tub after a long day waiting in lines at Dollywood. The kitchen was well stocked and I had every thing needed for preparing our meals. The place was clean and the owner very nice and helpful. We would like to make this a yearly get together, and if so, hope to stay in this same home."

"WOW, we rented this rented this cabin for a family vacation and everyone had an awesome time!! Family members ranged in age from 2 - 53. The cabin was beautiful and we found it exactly as the pictures shown. With this being the first time we had booked something online from VBO, I do have to admit I was a little hesitant as to what we would find, or not, as we pulled up to the cabin. However, we all gave this cabin a thumbs up. Prior to our arrival, I texted Kyle several times with various questions and concerns, and he always answered in a timely manner. Judy, the housekeeper, met us as we arrived, and gave us several helpful recommendations as far as directions and recommendations for various attractions. The cabin was very clean and stocked for the most part with everything we needed. Two items I would recommend bringing from home would be large trash bags and kitchen knives. The knives at the cabin were extremely dull. The cabin is only about 5 minutes away from Pigeon Forge where we enjoyed The Track and The Comedy Barn show. In Gatlinburg, we thoroughly enjoyed The Skylift, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Aquarium, as well as, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium, and various shops. We highly recommend Cades Cove, where we saw several bear and deer. Abrams Falls Trail, in Cades Cove, is as it says, a moderately difficult trail that will take 3-4 hours to complete, but well worth the beauty. However, make sure you take water and snacks with you. Having a hot tub at the cabin to come back to after that hike was very nice. Our family enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools in the resort, as well as the mini golf. Just a heads up, you will receive check-in info from Kyle after you have paid in full, but once you arrive at Gated Bear Creek Crossing, there is no one that "checks you in." You just use the codes that you have been given to enter the gate, and then drive up the road and find your cabin. Judy, the housekeeper, was there when we arrived, but if she had not been, we did have the information to enter the cabin from what Kyle had emailed us earlier. Everyone in our family enjoyed our stay, and they would like to make this an annual family vacation. Sounds good to me... ;) We definitely will be recommending this cabin to friends and family."
