"The cabin was everything we expected and more. It is convenently located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We were able to spend some time in each location. With the Gatlinburg bypass the park was very accessable. The cabin was well stocked and had everything we needed. The porch was wonderful, we spent a great deal of time out there. Although we saw little wildlife at the cabin, during our trip we saw 7 bear, 1 elk and several deer. Next time we will schedule a bit later in the season so we can be there when the rhododendron are in bloom."

"Our recent vacation at Bears Hearth was a wonderful experience! We had family members from PA and FL meet for a week of reunion, relaxing, and fun - 8 total. This house was spacious and we had plenty of room for everyone! The floor plan was awesome; the two bedrooms and bath downstairs gave a bit of separation for the sleeping arrangements. Great view, loved the hot tub, even had a bear pay us a visit! Thank you for sharing your house with us!!!!"

"We found this cabin to be almost perfect. The size and amenities are great and were enjoyed by our whole group, from papa and nana down to the youngest 3-year-old grandchild. It is tricky to find the drive on the first trip up, so be aware. Also, we were under the impression it would be away in the mountains but, in fact, the main Gatlinburg highway is both visible and audible from the decks, with the accompanying hawking of wares from some of the local tourist traps. This does not reflect on the cabin, however, which is grand in every way and would be perfect if it were tucked away in the mountains. Our little ones enjoyed the puppet theater, and we enjoyed watching the shows created there. The hot tub got daily use by many of our group. Be aware that the door to the washer/dryer closet should be kept open a bit when in use, as the heat really builds up inside and causes the alarm to go off. It is really too bad that the people of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge put so much more emphasis on hawking carnival atmosphere type activities instead of focusing on the natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains. We were disappointed in this aspect of our stay but, once again, the cabin was not at all at fault for this and was a great retreat."
