  • Family Reunion

"Overall - EXCELLENT! The cabin is exactly as advertised and looks even more beautiful in person. The view is more breathtaking than any picture or description. It was fantastic to be able to sit inside or outside and see the spectacular views of the mountains. You feel very secluded and private with the plethora of trees surrounding the cabin. It was a perfect find for our family reunion - 27 total (13 adults / 14 kids). We loved the fact that there were plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for each couple which made it feel more like a vacation with your own space to relax and recharge. The kids loved the movie room and the hot tub. The adults played lots of pool and hung out in the living room playing games and sipping coffee as we watched many sunsets/sunrises and clouds dance across the peaks. The reservation process and the checkin / checkout was smooth and easy. They keep you informed with e-mails and phone calls if needed. Phyllis was extremely helpful with a couple questions I had and getting us a couple of new pool cues within a couple hours. The cleaning staff was very cordial and I was pleased with the condition of the cabin when we arrived. This will be a vacation to remember for our family for a long time. Gatlinburg and surrounding area provides much to do but the cabin is also perfect for just some R&R so no need to go crazy on activity planning. The cabin is kid friendly and the bunk beds were great for sleeping the kids. Also the kid cabin was a place they could call their own and hang out giving the adults some quiet time without being nervous in what they were doing. The 7 nights stay was a perfect amount of time and we look forward to our next visit at Crantzdorf."

  • A Great Place and Great Location

"Just got back from our one week stay at A Bear's Eye View. What a great mountain home in a great location. We found the home to be a nice quiet place to come back to after a day out in the National Park. Love the fireplace and the nice large bedrooms. Carrie's directions to the home are spot on, your GPS may not get you through the last few turns to the home so be sure and follow Carrie's directions. We found Food City to be a great store to do your shopping for any items you need. To correct what another reviewer stated, the upstairs shower does work but the hot and cold are plumbed backwards, the hot water is hottest with the handle nearest the "off" setting."

  • Great family vacation

"Took my sisters for their first time in Gatlinburg. Great home. Love the openness of home. Beautifully remodeled. Just as it was described but the pictures did not do it justice. Very well decorated and kitchen well equipped. Very cozy & enjoyed the fireplace on a cool night. Close to Gatlinburg and all the activities of the Smoky Mountains. We love Cobbly Nobb & will most certainly consider renting again."

  • My daughters 20th Birthday

"Our two night stay at your cabin was everything we hoped it would be. Clean and comfortable with plenty of things to do and conveniently located. We, the parents stayed downstairs and our two grown kids stayed upstairs which afforded everybody plenty of privacy. I replaced a dead battery in the fire alarm downstairs to keep us all safe. For future guests unfamiliar with Gatlinburg it may be good to know that the closest grocery store is in Pigeon Forge or Sevierville. We certainly would consider staying at your place again and recommend it highly!"
