"This is a wonderful cabin! Very beautiful and it was the perfect size for 4 adults and 2 children. The owner is very accommodating. The cabin is far enough away from town that you don't have to deal with traffic yet close enough that it's only a ten to 15 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg and about a 20 minute drive to Pigeon Forge (back roads to avoid traffic). October is a VERY busy time of year for this area and it was great to have a place that we could avoid all that. Thank you Hamlock Haven for a wonderful stay! We will be back."

"This was our first trip to the Smoky Mountains. We brought our 2 youngest children (ages 16 and 13). We arrived about 10:30 at night which was a bit difficult for our first time in the area, but we found our way. Imagine our surprise to see our surroundings the next day. Beautiful! The cabin was very clean. The mattresses were way too soft for us, but that was not a deal-breaker by any means. We were within a 1.5-2 hr drive to Biltmore Estate which is expensive but highly recommended. On the way back we came in from the south and went to Clingman's Dome. Other short trips included the Roaring Fork Drive with a hike to Grotto Falls and the Cades Cove drive (3 bear cubs sighted!). Each evening it was so nice to "go home". We had a puzzle going on the kitchen table and played card games in front of the fireplace. We brought our own movies. There is an extensive movie collection (DVDs and VHS), but many are horror films. That's ok, just not quite what we're used to watching. There were plenty of satellite channels to watch as well. I needed to ask some questions before our stay and also communicate with Maria after our stay. She always responded quickly through email and was very accommodating. Since we've never been in the area before, I can't compare God's Gift to any other cabin. However, we were very very satisfied."

"The condo is located at the top of a long winding mountain road, approx. 10 minutes drive from Gatlinberg to the Summit of the mountain. It's worth the drive for the spectacular view. It's a true long range mountain view, not one of those partial views that so many of these type 'mountain' cabins have. We recommend the drive to nearby Cades Cove in Spring, Summer, or Fall. We go there frequently to 'Bear watch'. GO EARLY if you go, it's an 11 mile 1 way road, traffic backs up quickly. It's worth the drive. Google Cades Cove for info. Bears can be seen in Spring, Summer and Fall. The condo is very roomy, and kids would enjoy the Pools. The value is tremendous for the space, sleeping arrangements, view, etc. MUCH Better then a Hotel room, if you are willing to make that drive up to the mountaintop."
