"My wife, 2yo son and I stayed at this cabin last week and it was truly amazing. It was exactly like it was described which doesn't happen often these days. It was very clean, very comfortable and well laid out. Everything worked perfectly; the cable, the Internet, the hot tub and jacuzzi all worked perfect. We can't wait to come back next year. Thanks for helping us having an amazing vacation/ anniversary getaway."

"The condo was nice and homey. It was very clean and had everything we needed. It was a little further from town than I thought, but it was not a problem. The owner was so easy to work with. I would definitely stay her again"

"We arrived right at dusk and couldn't get into the lock box to get the key. Was able to call Don and Melissa and they responded right away and gave us the correct combination. That was the only problem that we had. The chalet was beautiful and was everything as described, even the steep driveway. But once you conquered it, each time, it was easier and easier to get up it and we have a 4 cylinder car, so don't worry about not making it to the top. The view was gorgeous and we were able to enjoy the peak of the fall colors which were stunning around the chalet.
Now about the name - Bear Crossing. That's an understatement. They said we will see bears and to keep doors and windows closed because of it. We saw soooo many bears, we couldn't keep count and we even got tired of taking pictures of them. I went hiking the first day and saw a mommy and two cubs at end of drive. I got back and we saw another mother with 3 cubs. After getting pictures of them they left (or so we thought) and we were inside and heard our car honking. I went and investigated and found a bear closed up in our car! He had opened our unlocked car and got in and shut the door and his butt was honking the horn. He got to two boxes of granola bars and opened each individual packages and ate them. His buddy outside of the car wanted in the action and he opened the drivers side and got in as well but he was too late - for the other bear ate all the goodies. I never dreamed that they could open the doors. So from that point on, I kept car and chalet locked at all times. Since that Monday, we had a mother with 4 cubs, a mother with 3 cubs and a mother with 2 juvenile cubs and a boar hang around the chalet per near everyday. They opened the neighbors car next door, the cleaning crew truck next door which I got pictures of and another chalet two houses down, I saw them opening their door. Other then their quest for yummies, they were well behave, and gave us a lot of laughs and enjoyment in watching them. Normally, we go hunting bears for pics on Roaring Fork Motor trail or Caves Cove, but not this year. We got our fill of them right at Bear Crossing Chalet! Thank you Don and Melissa for sharing your Chalet and giving us memories for a life time! We love it and we will be back!"
