  • Family reunion

"We had a group of 17 family members from age 2 to 85 and the house was fantastic. There was plenty of room in the common areas to enjoy each other without being crowded. The kitchen was well equipped and could comfortably hold multiple cooks. The table and the view from it were fantastic. We enjoyed seeing wild turkeys and a black bear from the deck. The bedrooms and baths were nice. The upstairs baths were a little tight for the taller family members and the upstairs water pressure was a little low. We were close enough to town it was quick and easy to take advantage of all the area has to offer. We would highly recommend the cabin."

  • A Great Place and Great Location

"Just got back from our one week stay at A Bear's Eye View. What a great mountain home in a great location. We found the home to be a nice quiet place to come back to after a day out in the National Park. Love the fireplace and the nice large bedrooms. Carrie's directions to the home are spot on, your GPS may not get you through the last few turns to the home so be sure and follow Carrie's directions. We found Food City to be a great store to do your shopping for any items you need. To correct what another reviewer stated, the upstairs shower does work but the hot and cold are plumbed backwards, the hot water is hottest with the handle nearest the "off" setting."

  • Beautiful Cabin - superb view and location!

"Just returned from a Valentine's weekend getaway at this wonderful cabin. As most have stated, the view is spectacular! Mt. LeConte is right in front of you and the cabin's elevation allows you to see miles down the Smoky Mountains while overlooking Gatlinburg. Beautiful. Some have mentioned the road is narrow and challenging but I was expecting much worse. Truly, it's not bad at all and we made several trips up and down the mountain with ease even at night. The cabin has everything. A well stocked kitchen and an open floor plan makes for an ideal entertaining area. Wonderful fireplace and wall of windows allows the view to be enjoyed from any place in the cabin. The deck has two levels and both are huge. The lower level has the hot tub which easily holds 6 and could squeeze 8. The view from the hot tub is incredible and a highlight of the cabin. There are 4 big bedrooms each with a queen or king bed. Only 3 bathrooms. Plenty of games for adults and kids including pool and air hockey. Nice flat screen tv's throughout the cabin. The cabin is perfectly located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. There is a Food City and liquor store 5 minutes from the cabin. You can be on the main strip in Gatlinburg within 10 minutes."
