  • Happy with Christmas Gift

"My friend and I decided we wanted to give our families a trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge for Christmas last year. So after considerable searching for the perfect cabin, we decided on the High Places Retreats "Open House". I just have to say it turned out to be a great choice for the 14 of us!! We range in age from 22 months to 80 years and all of us were very comfortable here. The kids and "kids at heart" loved playing pool and foosball, and those who wanted to relax did exactly that in the rockers and hot tub on the porches. We had plenty of room to sit down and eat our meals, and privacy enough to turn in early at night or stay up late thanks to the three levels of bedrooms and two living areas. Delicious smores were enjoyed by all at the gazebo with fire pit one evening. We even had a "Black Bear" experience during our stay! The cabin is close to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge as well as Gatlinburg, so it was conveniently located to many places we wanted to visit. Thanks for sharing your cabin with all of us!"

  • No regrets with this chalet!!!

"The cabin was everything we hoped for. It was spacious and clean and the view was gorgeous. We visit Gatlinburg frequently and will return to this cabin. Although located 10 miles from downtown Gatlinburg it was a very easy drive. The owners were great to deal with."

  • Great time :)

"My husband and I stayed here for our 2nd wedding anniversary. We loved how homey the chalet felt. The only way to get to the hot tub and the downstairs area which has a bathroom, beds, washer and dryer and games was to go outside and down the deck stairs. But there are two bedrooms upstairs and the couch pulls out to a bed so unless you just have a lot of people no one would have to stay down there. We loved the air hockey table downstairs. The hot tub was semi-private. It had a privacy screen on one side, but there are chalets on both sides so we would have liked another privacy screen on the other side of the porch. The furniture was all very comfortable and we loved the flat screen in the living room. The kitchen was clean and nice. The jacuzzi tub in the bedroom was awesome. It was huge! The view was a little obscured by trees, but was still beautiful and would be easily seen in the winter months. We loved the location of the chalet. It was very close to Gatlinburg and the parkway to Pigeon Forge. We loved that you had to use a code to get into the cabin because it kept us from having to keep up with keys. It snowed between 4-8 inches on Friday and we wouldn't have survived had it not been for the gas fireplace. We did end up having to leave the chalet because of the power outage and stay in a hotel our last night. Overall, we had a good time and would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We hope to be able to come back again."

  • Beautiful!

"We loved the spectacular view, while sitting on the fabulous deck. Plenty of privacy, and only minutes from shopping, hiking, or sightseeing. Our family hopes to get back some day."
