"My husband and I visit this area 1-2 times per year. We have stayed in many cabins and condos. This year we decided to stay within walking distance of the downtown area. Bill's place was perfect. A very clean and nicely decorated property. The bed was comfy. Linens provided were very nice. Bill is a great guy. He called to check on us while we were there. We even saw a bear walking around in the hotel parking lot across the street."

"My family and I recently stayed in this cabin, and enjoyed every minute of it. We all enjoyed relaxing on the deck in the hot tub and in the rocking chairs. The cabin feels very private and secluded, even though it is very close to everything. It was comfortable and well stocked, and you can tell the owners have paid attention to many details that make it very welcoming for guests. We would definitely recommend this cabin to others, and would rent again ourselves if we are ever back in the area. The owners were a pleasure to work with also."

"I'm giving this cabin a 4 out of 5 simply because we had some needs that we had difficulty meeting because of the layout and location of the house. Overall, the house is very clean and well decorated. It's an older home, but you can tell a lot of work has been put into keeping it current. There are plenty of towels and other necessities. Also, the big kids love having their own room. The check in/out process is awesome, because we go directly through the owner. The parking is tight but there are three spots, which is nice.
The other reviews are a little misleading, because they don't really tell you that 2 of the bedrooms are up a set of impossibly difficult stairs. We had small children and a handicapped person in our party and these were difficult to maneuver, even scary at times. Getting luggage up there is a nightmare. There is a bedroom on the main living floor, which is good for handicapped folks, but it's weird because you have to go through that bedroom to get to the only bathroom on that floor. Otherwise you have to go either upstairs or downstairs. Our handicapped person also had to go down 2 sets of stairs to the laundry. The mattresses are VERY firm, which of course is a matter of taste. The other reviews also act like downtown is right out the back door. You certainly could walk, but it's too far for small kids and handicapped people. We still had to drive and pay to park.
Our time here was wonderful. The cabin has everything you need. There's tons of stuff to do in town, and in the surrounding area and this place is very convenient to that. It has a comfy and homey feel and I would recommend it to others."
