  • Great place!

"Great quiet place. Easy walk to main strip. Soft beds and everything that you need in room. Will definitely stay here again! Kids loved both indoor and outdoor pools."

  • Outstanding View and a wonderful layout

"Our group of 12 (6 couples) take an annual trip to Gatlinburg to relax without kiddos. After several members of our group asked me to find a new chalet choice with better views I found Mountain Views Retreat. We normally stay very close to downtown Gatlinburg and this was a great option for us as it has amazing views and is only about 15 minutes to downtown. You are also only about a 10 minute drive to the grocery and liquor stores. The layout of this chalet is wonderful for a large group. At no time did we feel like we were crowded. There are two rooms upstairs, one on the main level and three rooms downstairs. Most rooms have their own bathroom (only two share a bath). The game room was nicely stocked with several different game options and just outside of the game room door is a hot tub. We found the cabin pretty clean with the exception of the hot tub which needed a little TLC around the jets and filters. We also thought it was strange to have the hot tub on the bottom level. Every time you needed a drink or something from the kitchen you had to go through the game room and up the stairs all wooden so very slick. We found the perfect solution and just left a cooler full of ice and drinks down next to the hot tub. Problem solved! :) The living room gets extremely bright during the day with the abundance of windows which enable you to enjoy the amazing view. Unfortunately it also heated the living room up to 87+ degrees during the day and sitting on the couch to enjoy the view was impossible. I sent the owners an email following our trip suggesting some sort of roman shade or similar if that is a possibility for the upper living room windows...the others have shades/curtains or blinds you can close as needed. Something simple would hopefully solve the issue. The main pros for renting this chalet over others: 1. You get the view without having to be too far from town!! Honestly the best view of all of the places I have stayed in Gatlinburg. I just do not think you can beat this view. 2. Extremely quiet: This is on a road with other chalets but honestly we only heard people during the day doing landscaping or work at another house and hardly any traffic up and down the road. 3. Plenty of parking and the security of having a gated driveway. 4. Spacious layout allowing for privacy as needed by all guests. 5. King beds and TVs in every room and plenty of dishes, utensils and cookware (blenders, crockpot, large pots, etc. everything you need)"

  • Great Cabin!!

"We stayed in Catch Me If You Can for the dates of January 9-11, 2015. We picked this cabin because of the really reasonable price, the distance to downtown Gatlinburg, the hot tub, the views, and just how cute the cabin was in general. The location of the cabin is great. It's about 6 miles from downtown Gatlinburg with easy access to Pigeon Forge. The views were awesome, and the cabin was just secluded enough to make you feel like you're actually away from everything in the mountains. Everything in the cabin was very nice and the cabin was really gorgeous - we loved the fireplace! However, the hot tub motor had blown and was not working while we were there and we were really disapointed. We did contact the owner though and to make up for it, he paid for our dinner the second night we were there. So, instead of hanging out in the hot tub, we did the "wine run" - sampled 6 wines at 5 wineries in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and got some free gifts...so it was still a great time. :) I would recommend this cabin to anyone, especially as a honeymoon cabin, or a girl's get away weekend, or for a couple with children. There's a fold out couch and loft with plenty of room and a pool table, so it's very spacious. All in all, we loved our stay at Catch Me If You Can!!"

  • Dream of a cottage in the Smokies

"We spent 3 nights at Ken's cottage and we had the time of our life! We didn't want to leave this peaceful place (but only 10 min. away from everything). The home had very tasteful Christmas decoration which we all appreciated a lot. Our family of six enjoyed all the space and we loved the fuss-ball in the spacious family room. The kitchen was very well equipped and we daily used the open fire place in the living room. The whole house is very roomy, tasteful, convenient and welcoming. We could not have hoped for a better cottage. Since the access road to the property is extremely steep we would recommend an 4x4 in winter weather. We didn't have snow so it was no problem with our minivan (winter tires). The views are stunning, especially from the windows in the master bedroom upstairs. After our hikes during the day we enjoyed the hot tub waiting for us. Thank you Ken for being such a wonderful host, we really appreciate this loving home. We will definitely recommend this place to friends!"
