Nice Little Cabin
"We just got back from a three night stay at Tiffany Hideaway and we had a great time. The location is close to town, but feels really secluded. Our one year old was with us and we found the cabin to be surprisingly baby-proof, which was nice. The kitchen was well stocked and we had plenty of towels, trash bags, etc. We were surprised how small the cabin was when we first walked in, but it actually didn't end up being too big of an issue. We had two couples and three children and it seemed roomy enough. On to the negatives--I'm not sure if the previous renters had a dog that wasn't housebroken, but one of the bedrooms smelled very strongly of dog urine. If it got too hot in that particular room, the smell was even stronger. Also, you can't tell from the photos, but the hot tub is off of one of the bedrooms, so in order for the other couple to use it at night, they have to walk through the other couple's room. Maybe not an issue for some (it wasn't for us), but just good for people to know. We were hoping for more of a true mountain view, but it was still pretty nice. Overall, it was a really nice cabin. The owner Mike was great to work with and was very helpful over the phone. We would recommend this cabin to others."

"Our family had a fantastic time & the house had plenty of room for us all to move around in. The drive to & from Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge was not a big deal at all. We're glad we stayed further up in the mountain rather than closer to the shops.
However, you must be prepared for the black bears! We saw one every day in front of the house! One destroyed the metal around the garbage can in the house across the street. They didn't attempt to come to us - in fact, they seemed to avoid us. However, on the last evening, a smaller bear decided to come to our car (just arrived back after dinner) and circled the car & stood up at the hood of the car. My husband thought this was the coolest thing ever...I, on the other hand, did not! I did get a picture of this too!
I would have given this home a 5 star rating, but I did not for 2 reasons. First, the picture of the "view" from the hot tub area is no longer accurate. In fact, there is no view - the trees are all grown & it feels more like a campground. It would be nice if some of the trees were removed/trimmed so you would have some sort of view of the mountains. Second, was the grill. I brought food for meals based on the home having a grill. The grill has seen better days - very rusted. I could live with the rust, but the bottom of the grill had 2 large holes in it - we were able to grill hamburgers the first night, but the grill was unfit to be used after that. I sent a text requesting a replacement grill, but I did not receive any response. For this, I was disappointed.
Our family will definitely return to the mountains!"

"Spent our 21st anniversary here.. was very pleased with how private and secluded we were. Cabin was perfect for just the 2 of us, enjoyed the pprivacy we had while relaxing in the hot tub. Would have to say my only complaint would be that we didn't get a chance to use the jacuzzi, once we filled it up, noticed it wasn't clean, and at 1st could not figure out how to turn the jets on until we had already decided to just get in the hot tub instead.. But, Charlene had made sure we had a small sandwhich tray and watermelon to snack on waiting for us once we arrived.. so I will DEFINITELY be returning in the future..."
