"My family traveled from all over to join together for my wedding. We booked Crestview Lodge and could not have been happier!! With its breathtaking views and spacious dwelling, it was the most magnificent place for my family to converge. The game room and hot tub were so much fun, there was space for the adults as well as the kids! There was so much to do no one could be bored! We filled in our stories in the cabin's journal and hope the next visitors will too because we certainly will be back next year! Family time is so important and finding this gem just made it easier for the years to come :)"

"What a wonderful vacation! My family of 13 stayed at this house for seven days during our annual family vacation. This was our first time in Gatlinburg and our first time staying at Bearhart Lodge. When we arrived we were surprised at how large the cabin was. It was everything as described on VRBO and more. Frankly, the pictures don't do it justice. Each bedroom was decorated lovely and had a king size bed with a private bath. Who could ask for anything more?
The air hockey, pool table and hot tub were all in working order and the kids spent most of their time downstairs taking advantage of them. The kitchen was adequately stocked and fresh linens were provided. The driveway was a little steep, but certainly manageable. We quickly learned to drive past the driveway, turn around and drive straight in. On occasion, we backed in so we could pull straight out. We had five cars and a trailer and had enough parking for all.
It is a ten minute drive up the mountain from the main thoroughfare between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. You will see a beautiful view during your drive up but there is a limited view from the lodge.
The Gatlinburg Visitor's Center is located at the turnoff to Wiley Oakley Road. We took the trolley to Downtown Gatlinburg for only 50 cents. You are better off taking the trolley since there is limited parking in Gatlinburg and it will cost you around $6.00 to park.
We were paid a visit by a local baby bear who walked right up onto the front porch and looked around. After learning there was no food, he turned and walked away. That was the only time we saw a bear during our stay. It was a thrill for all of us.
One note of concern though. The woodpeckers are spending a lot of time damaging the exterior. Wood chips were all over the deck floor and we had to sweep them up. One morning we were awakened by machine-gun pecking on the side of the house. We went outside and apparently scared it away. We never saw it again. This certainly isn't the owners fault, just a act of nature.
I should point out we did not receive the email from the owner with instructions for disarming the alarm. So, of course, we set it off when entering. We were able to contact the owner immediately and she helped us disarm it. In fact, the owner was very responsive to all of our needs. She was easily contacted and responded immediately. Thank you Jammie for allowing us to stay at Bearhart Lodge. We hope to visit again soon."

"This is a wonderful place to stay and is very well appointed. You are in a quiet area, but still only 10 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg. Cades Cove is a must and so is the Roaring Forks Motor trail where we got to see some bears, including a momma and two babies! The drive over the mountain to Cherokee was wonderful with lots of pull-offs and overlooks. You may also get to see the elk at the Oconaluftee Visitor's Center. Overall, this was a great vacation, but they are never long enough!"

"My husband and I are 25 years old and we traveled to Gatlinburg for our 2nd Wedding Anniversary.
This rental is almost at the top of the mountain, so there's quite a view! The downside, it takes about 15 minutes to get up or down the mountain into the town due to the twisting winding roads.
The unit reminded me of a studio-style apartment. Yes, the decor may not be for a young/hip couple, but it worked just fine for us. We never spent much time there, we were out sight-seeing most of our stay. This just served as a place to sleep mainly. We did use the kitchen to cook a few meals, it was fully stocked with supplies, we just picked up the food in town.
Price was definitely affordable for the location and quality of the unit. Very nice place! Fire place is just for looks, doesn't produce any heat FYI.
Communication was great, via email and phone. We never used the hot tub or any of the facilities."
