"This property was just perfect for my family of 5. The view of the mountain was spectacular. The condo was clean and stocked with the essentials. My morning and evening views of the mountain was just perfect. No need to hike for me only from the bed to the balcony to savor the view, there are hiking trails nearby though. The owner, Pamela, was prompt in returning emails and answering calls. We did not need her for much except my hubby got slightly lost on the way there and she promptly led us right to the front door. We will stay here again on our next visit, but this time without the kids for just a bit more peace and quiet. Thanks, again Pamela, for sharing your space with us."

"The trip was enjoyable. The cabin was clean and definitely convenient to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The drive to the cabin was rather scary the first trip but got better each time.
The driveway really needs to be fixed for smaller cars. The dishwasher was inoperable, but not a big deal. Also the free wifi apparently had the password changed and Dorothy was not aware so there was no wifi available.
For the most part, the cabin was very nice, Dorothy was very personable and responded pretty quickly when a storm knocked out power for a few hours.
I would just recommend anyone renting this cabin go into it with an open mind. After all, life is what you make it."

"Overall had a great week at Beary Cozy Cabin and the smoky mountains. Pros and cons:
Pros: The cabin was clean upon arrival and well equipped. The pictures online aren't outdated at all so everything was as expected. The owner was responsive - our dvd player wasn't working and he sent a manager out the next morning. As it was just the two of us + our dog, we actually spent the entire week upstairs. The bed upstairs is nice and allowed us to treat the cabin like a studio. There is a washer/dryer and dishwasher to make everything easier. A big thing for us - the grill is in good condition. So often rental grills require about 10 yds of tin foil and a lighter but this one, while simple, worked great. Cabin was also very private.
Cons: The cabin is a little bit farther than you think from the park. In our experience it took about half an hour to get anywhere, which was fine once we planned for it. Additionally, I wouldn't recommend bringing a dog. Understandably there is 0 grass/lawn area at the cabin and only a small parking space out front. It was difficult for the dog to get used to going outside without grass.
By now you've read that the roads going up are steep. They're steeper than you're thinking. It was a bit surprising the first time up.
Coming in from the north (pigeon Forge) is much easier. One turn puts you on the same road the property is on so it's easy directions from there
Use the owner's tips for skipping traffic on the way into town. Easy to use and effective
We did NOT have an issue with GPS, actually. Once you get between pigeon forge and gatlinburg just use your phone. Allows you to keep your eyes on the road and for us (iPhone/Apple maps) it got us right there.
To get there from pigeon forge, the quickest way is to go south through town and then make a u-turn at Kings Cross. The owner recommends this. Only caution here is that it can be a tough and/or long process if it's at a bad traffic time. After the u-turn you have about 100 ft and three lanes to make your turn on a busy road so timing can be tough.
The last tip is just to expect the wooded view. Personally I would not take these roads in the fall or winter when ice could be on the roads. This would be the only time to have a mountain view. During the spring and summer the view is pretty, but it's a very dense wooded view. Pretty and private, but don't expect to see mountains off the back deck.
tl;dr - fun weekend, would go back."

"My wife and I had a week away, as our kids were at church camp. Usually we stay in Pigeon Forge with our kids but just being us two, we wanted to stay closer to Gatlinburg with easy access to walk the Parkway. This little condo was perfect. It was close enough to everything but just enough off the Parkway that it was not too noisy. Very affordable and enjoyable. Betty was a pleasure to work with and answered every question I had. Would definitely stay here again."
