"This is our second stay at the house. It was nice last year and this year the owner's had upgraded furniture and TV's as well as painting. We had 5 family members and the house was great for the two with mobility issues since two of the bedrooms and the living area are on the main floor. We saw a bear on the deck that came by to check out the bbq grill. The house has a great view and is a convenient drive to downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the National park. It's well stocked with kitchen equipment and has a pool table and arcade machine. We had a great week and definitely recommend this house."

"We just returned home from a stay in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. When we booked the cabin, little did we know it would be so close to the lodge our niece had rented for her wedding. We love that it is in a very quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy sections of both. The cabin is very close to the Arts and Crafts Trail. We really want to come back to explore that area more. We had one dinner at The Ship Restaurant, a British pub theme place. The food was very good and reasonably priced. We visited the pottery shop next door, and came home with a few pieces of locally made pottery - a much better souvenir that the imported stuff you usually find in the tourist areas. If you go, make it a point to stop into the shops in the Glades Rd area. We were blessed with the opportunity to see a momma bear and two cubs on one of our trips through Smoky Mountain National Park, breathtaking views from Clingmans Dome, and the presence of wild turkey along the side of the road in the park. The cabin itself is neat, cozy, and well insulated. Despite nighttime temps in the 30s, the cabin stayed pleasantly warm. Though we ate out most of the time, it appears to have everything you'd need to make meals while there. However, the turntable in the microwave did not turn when my husband reheated his coffee. We really enjoyed the pool table. New tips are needed for the cue sticks, so be very careful if you decide to play a few rounds. The back deck was a pleasant place for our morning coffee while watching the sun rise. The view is limited, but very pretty and private. The rockers were our favorite place to sit and relax. It appears that the road has been repaved in areas. It is steep, but the potholes other reviewers mentioned are no longer there. Our biggest complaint is that the mattress and box spring on the bed really could use a replacement. It is very broken down, and made for serious backaches, and uncomfortable sleep. Other than a few minor maintenance issues (light bulbs burned out and the door knob to the upstairs deck being very loose), we found the cabin to be clean and well cared for. The discount for military, seniors, etc. is a plus, and is one of the main reasons we chose to stay here. If you rent Catch Me If You Can, be prepared to not want to leave! We surely didn't!"

"This cabin is exactly as pictured. All of the games and theatre kept the kids (and adults) very entertained. Very quick to get to either Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others. We all had a great time!!"
