  • Perfect Get Away!

"We loved staying at "Rest Awhile"! The cabin was the perfect size for the two of us and our two four legged furbabies. The gigantic California king size bed has us dreading going back home to our queen size bed. The cabin is very well kept and the close location to the main drag is definitely a plus. On our first night here we got to experience tornado warnings, but the cabin held tight and remained snug dry throughout the entire ordeal. I must give a HUGE thanks to Amy for her quick replies back to my text about our options for safe spaces if we needed them - and we thankfully didn't. Last but not least, we LOVED the hot tub on the back screened in deck - a PERFECT relaxation spot! I highly recommend Rest Awhile to anyone looking to get away!!"

  • Beautiful Cabin and Wonderful Stay!

"We just returned from a wonderful trip at this cabin! It had a beautiful view. The cabin looks exactly like the pictures show. The bed were very comfortable and the cabin is extremely clean. We loved that the cabin was a few minutes away from the main strip of Pigeon Forge but "up" in the mountains enough to get away from the traffic and see the beautiful views. The cabin is well equipped. We traveled with 4 adults and 2 kids under 3 and the home was perfect for us! There is so much to do nearby. We highly recommend zip-lining and Cades Cove if you have the time. The only negative was the dishwasher was broken during our stay. Some one came to fix it but by that point we didn't get a chance to use it. Not that big of a deal since we weren't using too many dishes and could easily hand wash them. We would definitely recommend to any one and if we return to the area we will be contacting the owners again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

  • Relaxing

"Very nice property. Beautiful view of the sunset. We enjoyed seeing the fireworks from Dollywood at 9:30 each night. A great get away for my family. Pat was very quick in answering any questions that we had. The listing is very accurate."

  • Great cabin!

"My husband, daughter and I stayed for a week in the Smoky Bear Lodge and we all loved it. It was perfect for the 3 of us. All the information and photos given in the listing were accurate. In fact, the pictures don't really do the cabin justice. It is very clean, comfortable and attractively decorated. It was also easy to find. We loved the location right between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It was very easy and quick to get to both places but we also loved that we were away from the busyness of town. The owner was very helpful and made herself available to answer questions during our stay. We would definitely recommend this cabin to family and friends and we would consider staying here again ourselves. Just a few recommendations for those who are considering a visit...1.) Cades Cove and the Roaring Forks Motor Trail are a must for beautiful mountain scenery and hiking. 2.) The Arts and Crafts Community...so many different shops with interesting things made and sold by local craftsmen. 3.) The Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster and Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster in Pigeon Forge. My daughter and husband rode both of these. They liked the one in Pigeon Forge better but they enjoyed them both. 4.) Good restaurants we tried and liked - The Log Cabin Pancake House, Pancake Pantry (go for lunch...it's less crowded and you can order breakfast all day long), Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant, Mama's Farmhouse. 5.) Ole Smoky Holler...you can sample their different varieties of moonshine for free and they also have live bluegrass music and tons of rocking chairs. These are just some of the things we tried while we were there and it was so nice to have such a lovely cabin to come back to at the end of the day. Made it feel more like home."
