  • cabin with a view

"Beautiful view! Not on parkway but just a few miles from it. Great location. We could hear the train at Dollywood really good. Really enjoyed our stay!"

  • A great vacation idea!

"The wife and I thought it was time for a family vacation and we chose The Safehouse for it. We had 8 adults and 4 grandbabies and all went very well. It is a beautiful lake home and is very well stocked and furnished. We launched a 27 foot Baja just down the street with ease and also rented a pontoon boat for 3 days, and there was plenty of room for both on the dock. We love Norris Lake and we will return to The Safehouse."

  • Just right!!!

"I just came back from discovering this hidden gem. I have stayed in many wonderful locations around North Carolina and now this place is my new favorite. I loved everything about Tellico Plains and this cabin is right on the river so its sounds are so soothing and yet you are four minutes from town which is so cute. You must patronize Tellico Grains Bakery and of course your neighbors, both Katz's Deli and The Drive-in on the other side for delicious diner type fare including ice cream; there's always a line and there's a beach for a refreshing dip in the river! The road to the falls is exquisite, pure eye candy and then when you get back to your cabin it is the perfect home base. It is cozy, decorated tastefully and they have pretty much thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. I finally saw Cuty Slickers thanks to their eclectic DVD collection. Great Shower, too!!!! Don't hesitate to choose this one if you are are a small group. You do have a grill overlooking the river and a picnic table in addition to the comfortable riverside deck. I cannot say enough about this cabin and its idyllic location. If you love browsing used books check out The Book Shelf in Historic Downtown Tellico and tell Ivy I said Hi! And let me not forget to say that Becky was super sweet and helpful. I hope to stay longer next summer. Something to look forward to... Thanks a lot for renting this propery out. Sincerely, Marie from Miami"

  • WOW - The view is awesome!!!

"I was completely amazed when we opened the door and saw the view from this cabin! The cabin was clean and relaxing and had everything we needed! It was a short drive to Pigeon Forge and all its restaurants and attractions. Although there were cabins next door, we could not see other people from our deck because of the trees. It was very quiet and peaceful! We did not bring our kids this trip, but they would have LOVED the loft area and the video game. The king bed was very comfortable. There are a few things I would point out but they did not distract from our enjoyment: there is very little storage in the bathroom for toiletries, etc., the hot tub took a while to heat up, we should have brought our own pillows, and we could not figure out how to turn the arcade game off (no big deal since no one was sleeping in that bedroom). But again, I would not hesitate to stay here again."
