"My family and I had a wonderful week here. The view of the mountains were absolutely breathtaking. I have stayed at dozens of places in Gatlinburg and this view wins hands down! The condo had everything we needed for cooking, and our stay, and there was even make up removing wipes... This may seem like no big deal but it was amazing for me because I forgot mine! We loved the pool, in the evenings and having cable and wifi at the top of the mountain made for a very enjoyable evening for everyone.
One day on the way up to the condo we saw a mama bear and her 4 cubs!!! We stopped our cars and took lots of pictures, we were so excited!
Thank you Jeff and family for sharing your home with us we loved it and created some wonderful memories that will not be forgotten! For anyone looking for a place to stay you will NOT be disappointed in choosing this beautiful home!

"We were all very pleased with our stay at Bear Den South. The pictures do not do it justice as they can't show how spacious the home is. There were nine people in our party and we had plenty of room. We had great views of the Smokey mountains and beautiful Cherokee Lake. The kitchen is well equipped and I had fun using the variety of dishes. There were also supplies on hand which was very nice. Little things mean a lot like plenty of trash bags, toilet paper, towels, blankets, pillows, cooking items, lots of movies to watch, and kitchen essentials (salt, pepper, baking powder, etc.) All the beds were very comfortable. Also, the kids had plenty of rafts to play on, plus life jackets galore which they used all week. The water is deep and clean and not weedy. We rented a pontoon boat for a day from Cardinal Cove which was close to the house and convenient. Other side trips were a day in Gatlinburg and an afternoon at Panther Creek State Park (welcome center is closed on Wednesday). We also found a vegetable stand nearby with some good Grainger tomatoes. It was just a wonderful time for our family and at the end I had a big hug from my youngest grandchild who said "thanks for bringing me to Tennessee and also for our great home!" I can say anyone who stays here will not be disappointed."

"This home had everything that our family needed for our weeks stay. It was perfect having 3 bedrooms with large beds. Both of my kids (19 & 24) had their own bedrooms with large beds.
We loved how close it was to all the activities in Gatlinburg as well as the National Park. With the cabin being at one end, it also made it easy to utilize the Gatlinburg bypass to go over to Pigeon Forge with less traffic and terrific views.
The roads getting to this cabin were steep but the view from the deck were worth it. Also have some terrific photos of Bears from the cabin porch.
I would recommend this home to anyone that wants to experience the mountains a they should experienced.
Thank you for opening up your home to us!"
