"My wife, granddaughter, and her friend all stayed at Onawim for the Memorial Day Weekend. A very comfortable cabin. Free Wi Fi, cable TV, fire pit, boat dock, deck, barbque grill. Went to sleep without needing air conditioning as it was so nice. Rented Joanne's (the owner) pontoon boat all day Saturday. Had a blast exploring, fishing, and swimming. Sunday we went swimming at the State Park Olympic size pool that is only 8 miles away. Then played games on one of the beautiful outside decks. Had a fire every night cooking hot dogs and samores. Couldn't ask for a better weekend. Thank you Joanne for you hospitality!!!"

"We stayed in the condo 3 nights. Very nicely decorated and maintained. We had a private little patio overlooking the lake, loved it! The lake is beautiful and huge. We rented a pontoon on the lake and enjoyed stopping at some of the other resorts as well. Nice gated pool area and clubhouse with workout room. Would definitely go back!"

"Our trip to "The Big Dipper" at Norris Lake was an extra special one as we are all Marine Corps Veterans who served together in 1985-1986 at Camp Hansen in Okinawa, Japan. It had been 29 years since we had seen each other and we are all scattered every where, we had people from WI, IA, NC, NY, OH, TN, MS and KY The house and setting were all beautiful and had everything that we could ask for, we all truly enjoyed the fact that we were kind of secluded from the outside world by no phone calls and texts it gave us time to catch up with each other. The fellas loved the dock and used it the entire time and the decks served for lots of reminiscing and laughter of the things we did way back when. We would love to thank John whole heartedly for everything he did to accomodate us and allowing us the use of his beautiful home. We look forward to returning in a couple years for our next one. Thank you :-)"

"This place was so nice, I think we'll be together another 50 years. Everything was there that we needed. We had some sixty guests for the party with plenty of room to move around, go outside, wrap around porch, 5 bathrooms. Everyone was awed with the place on the Clinch River with beautiful sunsets, fog on the river and lots of humming birds. The back yard was amazingly beautiful with concrete for dancing, a fire pit for the night, a place to put our anniversary cake, outside plugs for our amplifier and two bathrooms in the downstairs bedrooms. The cabin was close to shopping and restaurants, horse trails, Norris Dam, Museum of Appalachia. And if you need a ramp for the disabled, call Amramp of East Tennessee. Nothing is attached to the cabin. This is an amazing place! I keep reliving our week there over and over."
