  • Great Family Stay

"We were at the cottage over Memorial Day with 6 families (7 kids under 3)! This space was perfect. There was tons of room for every family and lots of space for the kids to play! We would highly recommend!"

  • Amazing service

"Our family and friends stayed in the Big Dipper over the New Year holiday. It was an excellent gathering spot - spacious, comfortable, and clean. My daughter accidentally left her boots there, and John, the owner, mailed them back to us free of charge! He was super nice and went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy customers. Thank you again, John!"

  • 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!

"This place was so nice, I think we'll be together another 50 years. Everything was there that we needed. We had some sixty guests for the party with plenty of room to move around, go outside, wrap around porch, 5 bathrooms. Everyone was awed with the place on the Clinch River with beautiful sunsets, fog on the river and lots of humming birds. The back yard was amazingly beautiful with concrete for dancing, a fire pit for the night, a place to put our anniversary cake, outside plugs for our amplifier and two bathrooms in the downstairs bedrooms. The cabin was close to shopping and restaurants, horse trails, Norris Dam, Museum of Appalachia. And if you need a ramp for the disabled, call Amramp of East Tennessee. Nothing is attached to the cabin. This is an amazing place! I keep reliving our week there over and over."

  • Couldn't have asked for more.

"Our planned fall break camping trip was a total washout. I had to find a dry alternative for 4 adults, 1 sullen teenager and 5 elementary aged children with little notice. Ted was awesome to work with. The house was amazing. The bunk room was perfect for the little kids. The game room and screening room kept everyone entertained (while it poured rain). When it was clear it was nice to fish a little from the dock. The location on the ridge makes walking down to and up from the dock a fitness opportunity (read not for the elderly or infirm). All and all a great fall break even with the constant threat of flooding (so happy we weren't in a tent)! We will be back."
