"After going to the beach for years, we finally decided to go somewhere different. After researching and some recommendations, we decided on the Smoky Mountains and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee area. Having used VRBO before for our beach vacations, we started looking for a cabin in the Pigeon Forge area. Seeing several options, the "Cub House" caught our eye! Filled out the form and Peggy, the owner quickly replied. The cabin is very well reviewed and from the accurate pictures on the website, the view of the mountains and convenient location was perfect. Set the dates and sent the deposit, which was so nice to go through with a friendly, helpful owner.
Upon arrival, the whole family was so awestruck by the view of the mountains and how nice the cabin was. We had 4 adults and 4 children, which there was plenty of room for everyone. Loved the view from the living room and the back porch. Everything about the cabin was set up nicely and even my young twin girls loved going through the cabin and counting how many bears they could find on the cabin's decor.
My family enjoyed going see the Titanic Museum, Wonderworks, Hollywood Wax Museum, Nascar Speedway, Three Bears General Store, and Dollywood, of course! We ate at several local favorites including the Wood Grill Buffet which had to be the largest buffet we had ever seen and good food also!
We went to Gatlinburg and to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park where we did some hiking, driving, and saw some wonderful waterfalls. Also toured the Forbidden Caverns in Sevierville which also had an Old Mill built in 1880 on the way.
Everything about the vacation, cabin, and area was really excellent. Would love to go back next year and stay in same place, if possible. The cabin was so nice and the owners are really helpful, and Peggy emailed me a few times to check on us and also was very quick to answer a few of our texts. Highly Recommended! A 5 star rating for sure!"
