  • Great Family Vacation Cabin

"Located less than 15 minutes from Gatlinburg, but in a secluded and serene setting on the river. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook up a storm. That included steaks on the gas grill, smores in the outdoor fireplace and hearty breakfasts in the kitchen. The kids (ages 1 -5) LOVED crawling though the tunnels, and 2 of them slept in the cubbies. We thought of this cabin as "weather insurance" since there is so much to do if your regular plans get rained out: movies on the giant screen, pool table, card table, Ms. Pac Man (let it warm up, it works), air hockey, video games and of course the swim spa. The skee-ball is missing the electronics and the pinball costs 50 cents/play. Come on down and enjoy the peaceful sound of the river and all the Smokies have to offer. Would definitely stay here again."

  • Private but close to everything

"This is a wonderful place to stay and is very well appointed. You are in a quiet area, but still only 10 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg. Cades Cove is a must and so is the Roaring Forks Motor trail where we got to see some bears, including a momma and two babies! The drive over the mountain to Cherokee was wonderful with lots of pull-offs and overlooks. You may also get to see the elk at the Oconaluftee Visitor's Center. Overall, this was a great vacation, but they are never long enough!"

  • Memories made at Montlake

"We selected this home for our Chattanooga family vacation and we are very glad we did. This unique property was a fun experience all in itself. The waterfalls on the lake was fantastic, especially following the brief rain that occurred. The trails around the lake and the mystery surrounding the formation of the lake or sinkhole was fascinating. We google some wonderful history about the property. It would be neat if Hershel & Marietta would make some of the history the have part of the home's experience. We found the home to be close enough to Chattanooga to not be inconvenient and we found the local restaurants to be very good. Hershel & Marietta live next door and we greatly appreciated their hospitality. The only negatives we would comment on is that the beds were small in two of the bedrooms and the house, while spacious, was showing some need for maintenance, although nothing major. Also, the kitchen did not have as much accessories & supplies as we would have liked. However, we would likely return if we ever plan another Chattanooga vacation."

  • A Perfect Getaway!

"My husband and I stayed here for our 2 year anniversary. We have stayed in several cabins, but this was by far our favorite! The cabin was so nice and clean! It has everything you need! We really enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub. The bed was extremely comfortable too! Next time we won't have to search and search for a cabin because this will be our first choice! Thanks for sharing it with us!"
