  • At home in the mountains!

"We truly enjoyed our week at the King of the Mountain! It was clean, roomy, and had a wonderful feeling to that really made us feel at home in the mountains. Not to mention, the spectacular view to enjoy coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening while watching the sunset. I highly recommend this place for people who feel like getting away from busy life, yet still you are only 45 minutes from Gatlinburg if you are in the mood for restaurants, zip-lining, helicopter ride, or whitewater rafting!"

  • Warmth and Charm in a Fairytale setting - perfect for couples

"My husband and I made Lakota Wolf our home for a long, snowy weekend in February. This cabin is like something from a fairytale, both inside and out. The bedroom with the fireplace (on a timer!) over the jetted tub was very romantic. The living room, with the vaulted ceiling, comfortable furniture and fireplace, was a cozy place to read and watch the many hours of DVDs we'd brought along. We brought plenty of food and wine and the kitchen was well equipped for all the meals I prepared. There are no stairs, which was a big plus for us. We were snowed in, twice, no less, and we LOVED it. We did not leave the cabin for five days and we were completely content. I spoke with the owner a couple of times and he could not have been nicer to deal with. This is the perfect cabin for two people who want to get away from it all and just focus on each other. We plan to return to Lakota Wolf when the weather allows us to explore the area, and then maybe we can use the hot tub, too!"

  • Great Views!

"With 9 adults and 2 children we all comfertably fit in this huge cabin! The views are incredible. The house is clean and well kept and has basically every kitchen utensil and appliance you would need, including crockpots and even a hand mixer! There is tons of deck space, but unfortunately we couldn't enjoy it as much as we wanted to because of the massive amount of wasps and wood bees that would just fly right into your face, I understand that's just nature and it is spring, we just wish there was some sort of better pest control. There is 2 air conditioners to cool the whole house, but the air conditioner for the top 2 floors seemed to not be able to handle the amount of space to be cooled considering the house was at 80 for a few days and we couldn't get it to cool down, maintenance did nothing but tell us to that turning the temp down will not cool down the house (not really sure about the logic in that). Also, there is no hangers besides in the coat closet, so bring your own if you have nice clothes you want to hang up. Another thing we weren't aware of until we got there was only a little bit of soap, dish detergent and toilet paper would be provided and we were responsible for the rest. We stayed for an entire week so with food for 11 people an additional refridgerator would have been nice for beer, water, soda, wine, extra food storage etc, so bring your cooler if you want to keep that stuff cold! Other than that we really did enjoy ourselves. The location is great, not a far drive from town at all. If you can I would highly suggest hiking to the very top of Mt. Le Conte via Alum Cove trail, so beautiful!"

  • Cozy Cabin in the Mountains

"My Family Stayed in this beautiful Cabin for 3 nights. We came down for a Beautiful Smoky Mountain Wedding. :) We also did some hiking in the Smoky Mountain National park. All was So Nice. Anyway, when we walked in it felt like home. I love the décor. It was really clean and I love that the bedrooms are so close together so we were not to far from our 3 year old son. We had some issues with the TV but I called Art (the Owner) and he was able to help me fix the TV. Which was an easy fix. ( I am horrible with remotes. I always mess things up lol ) Anyway, He is really nice and cares for all who stays in his Cabin. I really love how the Kitchen had everything we needed. My son is allergic to milk so it just makes it easier on me to cook his meals instead of going out and worrying if the cook is following my orders on dairy free. So it was a huge plus that I was able to cook for him. The Grocery store is not far at all so buying food helped us save money and give me peace of mind. Which is always a plus. I love how secluded the Cabin is. The Hot tub was really nice and private. What was really cool is that there is this Bear planter on the porch next to the hot tub where a family a birds made a cute little nest. So it wasn't just us that found this place cozy too. They made it their home too. I love that there is also board games, cable, internet, DVDs to keep entertainment during the night. There is a beautiful fireplace but was to hot for us to use. The Heating and Air conditioning is Great. We used the Heater in the cool morning which heated the cabin up real quick and the Air conditioning in the Afternoon which cooled it down real quick. Everything worked very well in the cabin. I can't wait to go back and stay at this cabin again. Hopefully for a Longer stay to enjoy all the Great attractions in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Thank you So Much Art for Providing such a Beautiful Cabin for us to stay in! We will Be Back!!!"
