  • Awesome cabin, awesome fall color

"This cabin exceeded our expectations upon arrival. The rustic decor and upgrades are not all shown on the pictures. Antler chandeliers', classic antiques. Someone has put time into decor. This place is tucked into a neat part of the mountain. The fall leaves we're stunning from even the inside of the cabin. We could see them through the large wall of windows. This place also has trails along the creeks. Our kids enjoyed exploring the trails and the little kids playhouse with the bridges. We also got to ride the horses at the stables down the road from this cabin. Hiked laurel falls in the national park. This cabin was a great base camp to explore all the fall in the area. Cabin is clean and just the right size for our family. Made some real memories here. The camp fire next to the steam with smores was one of the best memories. We will be back to bear paw trail #15. Thanks for letting us stay here! Highly recommend this cabin."

  • Batteries Recharged!

"My husband and I rent properties through VRBO once or twice per year and we found our experience with Floyd and Luana to be one of our best! The home was perfect for the two of us to unwind and recharge our batteries! A few things that stand out about this property: #1) the beds are sooo comfortable. You know you are sleeping on a good bed when you don't miss your own bed from home! #2) the kitchen is really well equipped. I love to cook and did quiet a bit of it while here. Never found myself needing anything that they didn't already have there. There is even a crock pot! Plus, there are plastic dishes for dining outside (and if you have kids) and nice dishes for dining inside #3) the view is really, really nice and there are so many ways to enjoy it with all the different decks spaces available. We particularly enjoyed laying in the hammock at night and looking up at the stars! #4) they stock plenty of toilet paper, kitchen paper towels, laundry detergent, garbage bags etc. and finally #5) The owners check in with you during the stay to make sure you don't need anything and to ensure everything is working properly and that your experience and expectations have been met. I would definitely book with Floyd and Luana again!"

  • Warmth and Charm in a Fairytale setting - perfect for couples

"My husband and I made Lakota Wolf our home for a long, snowy weekend in February. This cabin is like something from a fairytale, both inside and out. The bedroom with the fireplace (on a timer!) over the jetted tub was very romantic. The living room, with the vaulted ceiling, comfortable furniture and fireplace, was a cozy place to read and watch the many hours of DVDs we'd brought along. We brought plenty of food and wine and the kitchen was well equipped for all the meals I prepared. There are no stairs, which was a big plus for us. We were snowed in, twice, no less, and we LOVED it. We did not leave the cabin for five days and we were completely content. I spoke with the owner a couple of times and he could not have been nicer to deal with. This is the perfect cabin for two people who want to get away from it all and just focus on each other. We plan to return to Lakota Wolf when the weather allows us to explore the area, and then maybe we can use the hot tub, too!"
