"I have never been anywhere so neat, clean, organized and wonderful! Where on earth do you even start??
The directions to get to the cabin are spot-on. Thank goodness there was no snow, I cannot imagine those roads in the snow with my little car. I would have climbed up barefoot for this place, though! Most relaxing weekend in ages!
When you arrive, you are greeted by some of the best views in the Smokey Mountains. Even though you are near Pigeon Forge, you can't see anyone else from the porch. You truly feel like you're the only people there. There's absolutely NO noise, either! The porch wraps around the side for gorgeous views from the picnic table and hot tub, too!
Inside, you realize how much thought has gone into the cabin. Everything you could ever need is at your finger tips! Instructions on everything are present, too. Even the address of the cabin, so you can have someone deliver things if you need to.
You truly do not need to bring anything from home but you sense of relaxation and some food. That kitchen has everything. Who on earth thinks to provide a turkey baster and a waffle iron? This place is better equipped than my house! Appliances are in great shape and work fantastic!
The beds are super comfy, as are the linens. The basement bedroom was wonderful for us... no windows! We slept like little corpses, then came out to the porch swings just off the pool table room and had some cocoa. The main level bedroom is wonderful for anyone who can't climb stairs. There's a ramp to the porch and then this is on the same level as the kitchen, so you don't have to climb a single stair! The upstairs was great to tuck in my brother in one room and his kids in the other. They were off the time zone, so it was great that the area had it's own sitting area, TV, etc. They could stay up and entertain themselves, while the rest of us slept!
This cabin is so clean, I felt like I could have eaten off the floors. The decor with the bears is so perfect. You feel like you're on your own rustic retreat.
The rocks out front are GREAT for taking family pictures, so bring your camera.
The fireplace has a strange habit of putting me to sleep as soon as it's turned on. I'm sure it had nothing to do with me being full and lazy. LOL!
Seriously, nicest owner in the world, best laid-out cabin ever and one of the best long weekends for my extended family EVER!"
