  • Absolutely amazing!!!

""The cabin is absolutely beautiful, spacious and spotless! The views were spectacular and the community setting worked great for us, it was quiet and relaxing. Location, location, location! We were close to everything, yet we could completely relax and unwind when back at the cabin! We must be back! The owners were very helpful during the reservation process and gave us some great ideas for things to do since this was our first time there!""

  • Perfect for a Women's Weekend!

"There were eight friends celebrating our 50th birthday that got to enjoy this beautiful place for a long weekend. Four of the eight started kindergarten together, other four joined along the way and have remained friends. We all live in different states now and it was well positioned for all of us to reach within a half day. What a weekend it was too, plenty of room to move about, kitchen was very well stocked with every kitchen appliance we needed to make our "specialty dishes", even had a little painting class at the kitchen table and counter. The hot tub was wonderful in the crisp cool evening with a glass of wine while catching up on life. Could not have been any better!! Get ready for that driveway though :) I'd like to thank you for opening your beautiful home to us - Sandie, Dawn, Terri, Brenda, Darlene, Brandi, Patty and Kelly"

  • Beautiful cabin, great location!

"Beautifully decorated cabin in a great location! My family and I stayed here for the week and had a wonderful time! The beds were very comfortable and we loved the rainfall shower head in the bath. The view from the hot tub is gorgeous and the nice part is that it is close to everything, but you feel like you are away from it all. We have stayed in many cabins in this area, and have not found any that are this well kept and up to date."

  • Perfect Family Vacation!!!

"I cannot even begin to say how awesome this property was for our family vacation. Family of four - myself, my husband and our two girls, ages 3 and 6. It was just the right amount of space for us - the girls could play or watch TV while my husband and I relaxed. Having the kitchen fully stocked was great - I could make the Mac and cheese for dinner and the muffins for breakfast! The girls loved sharing the king bedroom downstairs - loved having satellite and DVD in each room as they can never agree on what to watch! The laundry was great too - excellent appliances throughout. The view are marvelous - every morning and evening was so spectacular! We made use of the hot tub on the upstairs deck - just so relaxing! The kids loved the pool which was right next door. The location was perfect - away from all of the hubbub but only a 20 minute drive to downtown Gattlinburg. We loved the proximity to the Great Smokey Mountain National Park - went to Sugarlands and did Cades Cove. If you want to see a great example of what your tax dollars go towards, spend a couple of days hiking with the NPS park rangers - they are worth every penny! We honestly can't think of one negative thing to say about this property. It is perfect for families but it would also be perfect for a girls weekend/getaway or romantic getaway. Donna was super helpful and responded immediately to the few questions that I had. She and Tim have made a binder just FULL of info, maps, coupons, etc - be sure to sit and read it when you first get there because it's so helpful. (We added a brochure for The Park Grill in Gattlinburg - excellent restaurant.) We felt the rental price was more than reasonable and still can't believe how lucky we were to find this gem of a property. Thank you Donna and Tim - as working parents, we treasure our yearly vacation with our girls - when we have them to ourselves and can enjoy them for the entire week. This "home away from home" exceeded all of our needs and expectations so we could totally focus our time and energy on our family and our fun. Woke up this morning and was sad to look out the window and NOT see mountains. Looks like we will be back soon..."

East Travel Tips

East Tennessee is Easily the Best Vacation Destination

East Tennessee is a region filled with urban areas, sprawling countrysides, plenty of attractions, and lots of adventure opportunities. Check out the Smoky Mountains or hike the Appalachian Trail. Visit towns such as Bristol, Kingsport, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. Have the time of your life with your family and friends at the local attractions. The friendly mountains, broad valleys, and running rivers make any of the many East Tennessee vacation rentals the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The Best Time to Visit East Tennessee

A great time to book East Tennessee resorts is in the fall. Get into Tennessee, see the leaves change for the autumn season and take in the beauty of the Smokey Mountains. In the winter, there are a few cold, wet weeks but overall it is pleasant all year long. The spring and summer offer the perfect weather for outdoor family fun. The first week of November is particularly cold so most visitors avoid that time. Just remember, because the region is surrounded by mountains, the weather can be somewhat unpredictable. It is a good idea to check the weather just before you visit to ensure that you pack the right clothing.

Transportation in East Tennessee

One of the best airports to fly into is Knox County Airport. Another good option is Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport. Both have a wide variety of car rental chains as well and without a car, you will not be getting very far in East Tennessee. A rental car is especially perfect for getting out of your East Tennessee cabins for day trips. Many of the towns in the region do offer free trolleys, public buses, and some taxis.

Perfect Daytrips in East Tennessee

The region has so much to offer that it will be hard to choose where to spend your days. One destination not to miss is the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. It offers an array of wildlife, hiking opportunities, and outdoor adventures. You might do well to visit Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, or even Gatlinburg. For an interesting twist, you might want to visit Rugby, an Edwardian-era village built as a utopian community that has been perfectly preserved. If you want to stay in a city that is centrally located to most popular day trip destinations, Knoxville might be your best bet.

Tennessee Music Culture

Tennessee is known as a melting pot of musical styles and influences. From the eastern border, Appalachian folk songs and bluegrass were born. Country music bloomed in Nashville. Rockabilly, blues, gospel, and even rock-n-roll stemmed from the Mississippi belt of the state. To this day, Tennessee-–Nashville in particular–-is a strong musical town. The bustling city of Chattanooga was the inspiration for Glenn Miller’s song “Chattanooga Choo Choo.” If you are up for a day trip away from the area, check out Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley. Music always has been and always will be a large part of the Tennessee culture. That means that there is no shortage of live music performances, musical festivals, and concerts throughout the year.

The State’s Natural Beauty

During your stay in East Tennessee, take some time to enjoy the great outdoors. More than half the state is covered by protected forests, national parks, wilderness, and game preserves. Part of the fun of your vacation will consist of hiking, biking, boating, fishing, and just about any other outdoor activity you can think of. Be sure not to miss the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, Pigeon Forge, and Ruby Falls.

Fun for the Whole Family

East Tennessee has an exceptional list of attractions that the whole family will love. Your itinerary should include stops at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, the Lost Sea, the American Museum of Science and Energy, the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, Rock City, the Tennessee Aquarium, and the Knoxville Zoo. The majestic mountains, fun-filled attractions, and fast rides at the theme parks (Dollywood) will let you find exactly what you are looking for in a family vacation!
