  • Just what we needed!

"We returned today from a last minute trip to the smoky mountains. We were able to book this lovely cabin, and im so glad we did. It has so much character, and charm. Close to Cades cove, as well as Pigeon Forge, and Gatlingburg, yet away from the crowds, in a peaceful setting. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much to the owners for accommodating us last minute."

  • Awesome house, fantastic amenities, immaculate! (Just bring lots of supplies)

"This house is perhaps my favorite rental home that I've ever rented, and I've rented 20+ homes over the past 6-7 years. Pros: - Spacious and well-appointed with comfortable furniture - Great, new appliances - CLEAN! Actually it's more than clean, it's spotless. - Beds were so comfy! - The Game Area is fantastic! - The hot tub cannot be beat - nature views and a hot soak, ahhh. - Good and plentiful linens, pillows & towels Con: (there's only one) - Kitchen stuff. You have to bring everything... i mean EVERYTHING you might need for the kitchen besides the basic pots, pans and utensils. Usually most rental homes have a few supplies that don't spoil... plastic wrap or foil, baggies, a few spices, spray pam for the grill, etc. This place is bare. So bring your own tupperware for food storage, ziplocs baggies, all spices and condiments for your meal prep, even hand soap. They provide hotel bars that are tiny, and just enough dish soap for 1 load per night. No spices. No oil or anything like that. So bring it all! This was not a huge deal and I see why they do it this way - because they keep the place immaculately clean and clean the fridge out after every family so it's spotless for the next guest. But it's important to be informed of this before your vacation grocery shop. We lacked some things, but it was no big deal - we made do. They do have salt and pepper though - that was nice! We had a wonderful time here, recommend it highly, and hope to return soon. It's a little sliver of Smoky Mountain paradise! The owner is also very professional and easy to work with!"

  • GREAT FAMILY GET AWAY

"MY FAMILY STAYED IN THE CABIN THE WEEK-END AFTER CHRISTMAS. THERE WERE 13 OF US. WE HAD AMPLE ROOM AND SOME TO SPARE. ALL THE CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULT CHILDREN LOVED THE POOL TABLE AND THE JUKEBOX. THE KITCHEN WAS GREAT FOR FIXING OUR MEALS AND SO WELL EQUIPPED WITH EVERYTHING NEEDED. WE ESPECIALLY ENJOYED THE CHRISTMAS DISHES. THE OWNERS WERE GREAT TO WORK WITH. THEY PROVIDED EVERYTHING NEEDED FOR AN ENJOYABLE TRIP. THE LOCATION WAS GREAT AS IT WAS CLOSE TO EVERYTHING. WE WOULD LOVE TO COME BACK AGAIN."

East Travel Tips

East Tennessee is Easily the Best Vacation Destination

East Tennessee is a region filled with urban areas, sprawling countrysides, plenty of attractions, and lots of adventure opportunities. Check out the Smoky Mountains or hike the Appalachian Trail. Visit towns such as Bristol, Kingsport, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. Have the time of your life with your family and friends at the local attractions. The friendly mountains, broad valleys, and running rivers make any of the many East Tennessee vacation rentals the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The Best Time to Visit East Tennessee

A great time to book East Tennessee resorts is in the fall. Get into Tennessee, see the leaves change for the autumn season and take in the beauty of the Smokey Mountains. In the winter, there are a few cold, wet weeks but overall it is pleasant all year long. The spring and summer offer the perfect weather for outdoor family fun. The first week of November is particularly cold so most visitors avoid that time. Just remember, because the region is surrounded by mountains, the weather can be somewhat unpredictable. It is a good idea to check the weather just before you visit to ensure that you pack the right clothing.

Transportation in East Tennessee

One of the best airports to fly into is Knox County Airport. Another good option is Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport. Both have a wide variety of car rental chains as well and without a car, you will not be getting very far in East Tennessee. A rental car is especially perfect for getting out of your East Tennessee cabins for day trips. Many of the towns in the region do offer free trolleys, public buses, and some taxis.

Perfect Daytrips in East Tennessee

The region has so much to offer that it will be hard to choose where to spend your days. One destination not to miss is the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. It offers an array of wildlife, hiking opportunities, and outdoor adventures. You might do well to visit Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, or even Gatlinburg. For an interesting twist, you might want to visit Rugby, an Edwardian-era village built as a utopian community that has been perfectly preserved. If you want to stay in a city that is centrally located to most popular day trip destinations, Knoxville might be your best bet.

Tennessee Music Culture

Tennessee is known as a melting pot of musical styles and influences. From the eastern border, Appalachian folk songs and bluegrass were born. Country music bloomed in Nashville. Rockabilly, blues, gospel, and even rock-n-roll stemmed from the Mississippi belt of the state. To this day, Tennessee-–Nashville in particular–-is a strong musical town. The bustling city of Chattanooga was the inspiration for Glenn Miller’s song “Chattanooga Choo Choo.” If you are up for a day trip away from the area, check out Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley. Music always has been and always will be a large part of the Tennessee culture. That means that there is no shortage of live music performances, musical festivals, and concerts throughout the year.

The State’s Natural Beauty

During your stay in East Tennessee, take some time to enjoy the great outdoors. More than half the state is covered by protected forests, national parks, wilderness, and game preserves. Part of the fun of your vacation will consist of hiking, biking, boating, fishing, and just about any other outdoor activity you can think of. Be sure not to miss the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, Pigeon Forge, and Ruby Falls.

Fun for the Whole Family

East Tennessee has an exceptional list of attractions that the whole family will love. Your itinerary should include stops at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, the Lost Sea, the American Museum of Science and Energy, the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, Rock City, the Tennessee Aquarium, and the Knoxville Zoo. The majestic mountains, fun-filled attractions, and fast rides at the theme parks (Dollywood) will let you find exactly what you are looking for in a family vacation!
