"Hi Tim & Diane,
Sorry it's taken so long to get back, but I'm just getting caught up.
Our family had an absolutely wonderful week in your beautiful home! Larry did a great job working with us and even brought wood that we used in the fireplace to add to the Christmas ambiance. The kids didn't mind that the play station and TV didn't work as they all had their own electronic devices to keep them occupied. They did, however, use the chess table in the game room quite regularly.
We took several walks downtown and my daughter even found a beautiful China dinner set from one of the local antique shops that she couldn't live without. We made one trip to Nashville, a trip to the Shaker Village and a visit to the National Corvette museum.
Each family was responsible for preparing a meal and the kitchen and dining area were both more than adequate and accommodating. The Chinese restaurant in town did a great job providing our traditional Christmas Eve dinner.
The home was beautifully decorated for the holiday season and overall it was an exceptional experience for everyone. We took a million pictures and everyone will have fond memories of Christmas in that old historical house in Kentucky!
Thanks a bunch!
Wilk and Sharon"

"Two families rented this house for Memorial Day weekend. It was a nice place to stay, but not without some flaws. To start, the location was perfect. It's in a nice secluded cove away from the main lake traffic. The boat dock and lift were perfect! There was even a paddle boat which the kids and adults enjoyed. Moving on to the house, the basement was perfect for a group of 8 kids - a place for everyone to sleep comfortably and a place for them to hang out. Moving on to the upstairs, the kitchen is small and tricky to maneuver when preparing food for 12 people. The cabinets were very disorganized and the oven is very old and burned some of our food. We did most of our cooking on the grill, which worked great, but was under the deck. The main floor shower had no cold water, so the basement shower had to be shared. Thank goodness it was just a weekend trip! We had the kids "shower" in the lake - bar of soap and bottle of shampoo - works great! An outdoor shower would be a nice addition to this property."

"Our family rented this beautiful home for the third time. This home is "your home away from home". The kitchen is a cook's dream --- every pot, dish, utensil that one needs to cook and entertain can be found. You will love the spacious layout of the entire home. Very relaxing location but convenient to the college campus and several hiking trails. The 4 bedrooms and 3 baths are all large. The all-seasons room on back of home is very nice also. You will not go wrong in renting this home for a night or an entire month --- you will not want to leave!"

"Super neat home, loved the eclectic decor. The Brigadoon had all the necessities, everything you need to cook a basic meal, lots of extra bedding, plenty of towels, etc. I loved that there were basic spices and olive oil, I always hate buying a whole jar of something to cook just a couple meals. The home is clean and oh so charming, but it is an old house. Depending on who you are traveling with the layout of the bedrooms does require you to walk through one to get to the other. Only negative for me personally was two people could not take a shower in a row without running out of hot water. I was pleasantly surprised by how warm the house stayed with it being super chilly out. Overall enjoyed our long weekend in Leiper's Fork! Thank You!!"
