  • Everything you could need!

"I stayed here with 4 friends for our college reunion, and it was really fabulous. They have thought of everything you could possibly need during your stay, including great recommendations for things around town. Plenty of towels, too, which is something not all rentals think of! The house is walking distance to some fabulous restaurants and coffee shops (we loved grabbing coffee and muffins from Bongo Java each day). Since we were returning for our Vanderbilt reunion, we were also happy to be so close to Hillsboro Village and the Vandy campus."

  • Lisa & Terry, Northwest Indiana

"My husband and I have very stressful jobs, so we were looking for a place to relax and provide calmness. We so enjoyed the relaxation. Be prepared, there is no cell phone service or internet. But there is satellite tv. If you are really into relaxing and having a tranquil spot, this is your place. The location and home were beautiful. No matter what window you looked out, you had a view of the lake. The house sort of sits on a peninsula and the only traffic you have on your road is the family that lives at the end of the road. The boat dock is 100 yards from your front door. The house is beautiful and very spacious. The deck is the most amazing part of the house as you can see forever. The weather was unseasonable warm, 88 - 90 degrees each day. Too hot for the fish to bite, but there were plenty of them. The only drawback (for me) was that you had to travel for one hour before you came into a decent size town. (Clarksville) That is just me, I love to shop. I wish we would have spent more time talking to the locals, but you have to go into a small town or hang out at the Danville Grill and Bait shop located at the load dock. The house has it's own dock for your boat and that was wonderful. Very convenient. The house was so nice and so well layed out. Having a washer and dryer was awesome. The home had everything we needed. The pictures do not do the lake justice. You won 't be disappointed if you stay there."

  • 3G, unplugged, and much more!

"Three generations of my family recently enjoyed 5 wonderful days at The House at Lakeshore. At one time or another, over the long weekend, we had 9 adults and six of our grandkids (ages 3-6). We never felt crowded. The spaciousness and appointments of the house and deck, the acres of manicured yard and acreage, and, of course, the pristine 73 acre lake and property dock, and the 3Gs....Gus (resident donkey and kid whisperer), Goats, and Geese provided everything you could want for a family getaway. The animals and the lake provided endless daily treats for our grandkids and adults, as well. Larry and Pamela are wonderful hosts; providing local tips, information, and assistance whenever needed. My wife and I have used VRBO for many years in the US, Canada, and Europe, and have never been to a property that was so "prepared" for our visit. Larry and Pam take great pride in their property and go the extra mile in making your visit a memorable one. The property photos are excellent, but they can't capture the feel of the place....clean, quiet, peaceful, and inviting. For me, I thoroughly enjoyed the "unplugged" feeling of our stay. No one watched tv, read the paper, stayed on their phones, or even had a computer. The quiet calm of the lake and property seemed to draw everyone to the beauty and serenity of the deck, the yard, and the lake. The stately oak trees along the shoreline and dock provided shade throughout each day and an excellent vantage point to enjoy the water and the kids jumping off the dock or paddling around in the water. I could say more, but you get the picture! Try will be glad you did!"

  • Great location, ample room!

"Overall the property was an excellent choice for our Fourth of July weekend. Close to the lake, enough pots and pans to cook whatever you wanted, charcoal grill worked great for steaks! The canopy over the drive was huge, big enough to park two big cuddy cabin boats in. Perfect spot too, because we backed our boat up beside kitchen door and made load and unload extremely easy. Dish network was great for some music videos while we made breakfast. Would definitely go back again!"
